ALLAHABAD: Out of the many occasions during Maha Kumbh, the festivals during the Magh month are best. Magh Poornima is an auspicious occasion to earn virtue. Department of Post has issued a special cover to commemorate the Magh Poornima royal bath during the ongoing Mahakumbh. It was released by chief guest Justice Arun Tandon in the presence of Lt Col A K Gupta postmaster general Allahabad region, Krishna Kumar Yadav director postal services Allahabad region at the Mela area on Monday.
The chief guest said he felt honoured and urged for a special cover and stamp on famous personalities of Allahabad. Director KK Yadav said Maghi Poornima was special for Kalpawasis as this was the day that marked conclusion of their stay at the Kumbh. He added that special cover of Rs 25 will become heritage and through these covers cultural heritage of Kumbh will flow through generations.
A set of special cover was presented to film star Vivek Oberoi, Swami Chidanand Muni and national president of Akhil Bhartiya Anti-Terrorism Front Maninder Singh Bitta at Kumbh Mela by director Postal Services Allahabad Region and they all appreciated the step of the Department of Posts to make Indian Culture famous all over the world.
