Department of Posts adopts leopard, crocodile at Lucknow Zoo

Department of Posts has adopted endangered wildlife to promote conservation of endangered fauna and at same time popularize services of India Post. In this sequence, Chief Postmaster General, UP Circle Shri Kaushalendra Kumar Sinha alongwith Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director Postal Services, Lucknow HQ Region, inaugurated it by adopting the leopard and crocodile at Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Park, Lucknow
Chief Postmaster General, Shri Kaushalendra Kumar Sinha said that for the first time in Uttar Pradesh, Department of Posts has adopted endangered wildlife  in the zoo. This initiative of the Department of Posts will give wide publicity of postal services to the visitors coming to the zoo. The Department of Posts is currently offering all services like Savings Bank, Postal Life Insurance, India Post Payments Bank, Aadhaar Enrollment and Updation, Passport under one roof along with mail services.
Director Postal Services, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that this also reflects social service of Department of Posts. In the zoo, the leopard has been adopted by the Department of Posts for a period of 6 months and crocodile for one year.

Director of Lucknow Zoo, Shri R.K. Singh appreciated the initiative of the Department of Posts and hoped that other departments will also be inspired by it.

During the program R.K. Verma, General Manager (Finance) Postal Accounts, Alok Ojha, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Lucknow Division, R.N. Yadav, Chief Postmaster, Lucknow GPO, Forest Ranger Sanjay Johri, Deepali, AB Singh, Sunil Gupta, Anoop Agarwal, DD Pandey, Ajay Pandey, Rajendra Singh, Prabhakar Verma and other staff were present.
