All India Postal Football Tournament to be held from 24 to 28 February at Chowk Stadium, Lucknow

The 33rd All India Postal Football Tournament will be organized by Uttar Pradesh Postal Circle from 24 to 28 February, 2020 at Lucknow Chowk Stadium. Football players from different Postal Circles across the country will participate in this tournament. As of now, teams from Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Odisha and Jammu and Kashmir including Uttar Pradesh have arrived in Lucknow to participate in the tournament. Chief Postmaster General, Uttar Pradesh Circle Mr. Kaushlendra Kumar Sinha shared this information while addressing the press conference organized at the Manthan Hall. He also told that last year the All India Post Football Tournament was organized by Kerala Postal Circle. It is a matter of pride that this year Uttar Pradesh Postal Circle is hosting this tournament.
Chief Postmaster General Mr. Kaushlendra Kumar Sinha told that the tournament will be inaugurated by Chief Guest Mr. Ashok Pal Singh, Member Postal Services Board (Banking and DBT), Postal Directorate, New Delhi on February 24 at 10:30 AM at Chowk Stadium, Lucknow in the auspicious presence of Mr. Sapan Rai, former Coach, Indian Football Team. The award distribution and closing ceremony will be held on February 28 at 4:00 PM. Dr. Santosh Kumar Kamila, Member Postal Services Board (Personnel), Postal Directorate, New Delhi will be the Chief Guest on the occasion. Mohammad Rafiq from Rajasthan Postal Circle has been nominated as Central Supervisor and Mr. Chandan Rai from West Bengal Postal Circle as Technical Representative.
Mr.  Sinha said that proper arrangements have been made in Lucknow for the teams, Coach Managers and others associates of the tournament arriving from different Postal Circles. He expects from the participating players to show discipline and good sportsmanship to make this tournament memorable and highlight the name of Uttar Pradesh Postal Circle.

Director Postal Services, Lucknow HQ Region Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav told that inauguration match will be played between West Bengal and Jammu Kashmir Circle.  Numerous International Players are participating in this tournament, which includes the name of Subrato Das and Dipankar Chatterjee from West Bengal and Wazid Ali and Bhuvan Chandra Joshi from Uttar Pradesh.
On this occasion, Postmasters General Mr. S.K. Swain, Allahabad Region, Mr. Ambesh Upamanyu, Agra Region, Mr. Vinod Kumar Verma, Kanpur Region, Mr. Pranav Kumar, Varanasi Region, Mr. Sanjay Singh, Bareilly Region, General Manager (Finance) Mr. R.K. Verma, Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director Postal Services Lucknow Headquarter Region, Mr. Rajeev Umrao, Director Postal Services (Headquarter), Mr. Atul Srivastava, Director Postal Services, Agra Region and all senior officers and employees were present.
