Department of Posts providing digital & paperless banking facility from doorstep to farms through IPPB - Postmaster General Krishna Kumar Yadav

डाक विभाग द्वारा वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र में विशेष अभियान चलाकर एक ही दिन में 20 जुलाई को साढ़े आठ हजार से ज्यादा लोगों के इंडिया पोस्ट पेमेंट्स बैंक खाते खुलवाए गए। देर रात्रि तक चले इस अभियान में प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी जी की महत्वाकांक्षी योजना डिजिटल बैंकिंग और वित्तीय समावेशन को बढ़ावा देते हुए मात्र आधार व मोबाईल नम्बर द्वारा ये पेपरलेस खाते खोले गए। उक्त जानकारी वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने दी। वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र में अब तक 3.94 लाख लोग इंडिया पोस्ट पेमेंट्स बैंक खाता खुलवाकर घर बैठे इसकी सेवाओं का लाभ उठा रहे हैं। कोरोना संक्रमण के दौरान भी इस वित्तीय वर्ष में अप्रैल से लगभग 25 हजार लोगों ने आईपीपीबी खाते खुलवाए।

पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा कि इंडिया पोस्ट पेमेंटस बैंक के माध्यम से हर किसी के लिए घर से लेकर खेतों तक  सहजता से डिजिटल और पेपरलेस बैंकिंग की सुविधा उपलब्ध कराई जा रही है। सब्जी, चाय, जनरल स्टोर की दुकान वालों से लेकर खेतों में धान की रोपाई कर रहे लोगों का भी डाकियों और ग्रामीण डाक सेवक ने खाता खोला और उन्हें डिजिटल बैंकिंग से परिचित कराया। आम जन के साथ-साथ वृद्धजनों, दिव्यांगों, बीमार व्यक्तियों से लेकर महिलाओं, किसानों, श्रमिकों  तक को डाक विभाग की इस पहल से घर बैठे डीबीटी राशि प्राप्त करने जैसी तमाम सुविधाएँ मिल रही हैं। इस खाते के माध्यम से मोबाईल व डीटीएच रिचार्ज, बिजली व पानी बिल भुगतान जैसी तमाम सुविधाएँ भी मिलेंगी। पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा कि जहाँ कोई नहीं पहुँचता, वहाँ डाकिया पहुँच रहा है। अब डाकिया और ग्रामीण डाक सेवक चलते- फिरते बैंक बन गए हैं। आधार इनेबल्ड पेमेंट सिस्टम द्वारा अन्य बैंकों में प्राप्त डीबीटी राशि या जमा राशि का भी डाकिया द्वारा लोगों को माइक्रो एटीएम से भुगतान किया जा रहा है।

Department of Posts opened India 8,500 India Post Payments Bank in a single day on 20th July by running a special campaign in Varanasi Region. In this campaign that lasted till late night,  paperless accounts were opened only by Aadhaar and mobile number, promoting the ambitious plan of digital banking and financial inclusion of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. The above information was given by Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Postmaster General of Varanasi Region. So far, 3.94 lakh people in Varanasi Region are availing its services at doorstep by opening India Post Payments Bank accounts. In this financial year during the Corona pandemic, about 25,000 people opened IPPB accounts.

Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav told that through India Post Payments Bank, digital and paperless banking facility is being made available to everyone from home to farms with ease. Postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks opened accounts of various categories including vegetable seller, tea seller, general store shops to farmers planting paddy in the fields and introduced them to digital banking. Due to it's door step service, old aged people, Divyang, sick persons, women, farmers, labourers are availing all the facilities like getting DBT amount doorstep with this initiative of the Department of Posts. Through this account, all the facilities like mobile and DTH recharge, electricity and water bill payment is being also  available. 

Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that where no other service providers reach, the postman is reaching there. Now postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks have become mobile banks. Through Aadhar Enabled Payment System, DBT or deposits amount of other banks are also being paid by the postman to the people through micro ATMs.
