Postal Department has launched a campaign 'Samriddh Sukanya - Samriddh Samaj' to take the benefits of 'Sukanya Samridhhi Yojana' launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi under the 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' scheme. Under this, Department of Posts will now reach every house. In this regard, the Postmaster General of Varanasi Region, Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, held a meeting with all the Divisional Superintendents through video-conferencing and gave instructions.
Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav told that under Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, the account of girls up to the age of 10 years can be opened in the Post Office. It offers 7.6% interest, which is higher than any small savings scheme. This account, which opens with only ₹ 250, is like a boon for the education and marriage of daughters. There is also a provision of exemption of up to 1.5 lakh in income tax under section 80C of Income Tax. To open a Sukanya Samriddhi account, public may contact the nearest Post Office with a copy of the birth certificate of the girl child, a copy of the Aadhaar card of her mother or father along with two photographs. Mr. Yadav said that this will provide more merit if account is opened in Post Office during Navratri. Girls have a lot of importance in Navratri. During this, there is also a tradition of giving gifts to girls by inviting them to their homes for worship. Sukanya Account can be gift to girl child also.
Department of Posts has also issued a mobile number to connect people with the 'Samridhh Sukanya - Samridhh Samaj' campaign. Senior Superintendent of Post Office, Varanasi East Division, Mr. Rajan said that for opening Sukanya Samriddhi account, numbers 9026632633 and 9454777544 can be called in Varanasi. With this, parents can also get complete information about the scheme by contacting them and they will also be fully supported in opening the account.
प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा 'बेटी बचाओ, बेटी पढ़ाओ' योजना के अंतर्गत शुरू किए गए 'सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना' का लाभ जन-जन तक पहुंचाने के लिए भारतीय डाक विभाग ने 'समृद्ध सुकन्या-समृद्ध समाज' अभियान चलाया है। इसके तहत विभाग अब हर घर में पहुंचेगा। इस संबंध में वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने सभी मण्डलाधीक्षकों के साथ वीडियो-कांफ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से मीटिंग कर निर्देश दिए।
पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना के तहत 10 वर्ष तक की बेटियों का खाता डाकघर में खुलवाया जा सकता है। इसमें 7.6% ब्याज मिलता है, जो कि किसी भी लघु बचत योजना से अधिक है। मात्र ₹ 250 से खुलने वाला यह खाता बेटियों की पढ़ाई एवं शादी के लिए एक वरदान की तरह है।आयकर की धारा 80 सी के तहत आयकर में डेढ़ लाख तक की छूट का भी प्रावधान इस खाते में है। सुकन्या खाता खुलवाने के लिए बिटिया के जन्म प्रमाण पत्र की प्रति और उसके माता या पिता के आधार कार्ड की प्रति और दो फोटो के साथ नजदीकी डाकघर में संपर्क किया जा सकता है। श्री यादव ने कहा कि परिवार की बेटियों का डाकघर में सुकन्या समृद्धि खाता खुलवाकर कन्या पूजन कर सकते हैं। यह कार्य नवरात्रि में किया जाए तो और भी पुण्य मिलेगा। नवरात्रि में कन्याओं का बहुत महत्व होता है। इस दौरान कन्याओं को पूजा के लिए घर पर आमंत्रित कर उपहार देने की भी परंपरा है।
'समृद्ध सुकन्या-समृद्ध समाज' अभियान से लोगों को जोड़ने के लिए डाक विभाग ने मोबाइल नंबर भी जारी किया है। वाराणसी पूर्वी मंडल के प्रवर अधीक्षक डाकघर श्री राजन ने बताया कि सुकन्या समृद्धि खाता खुलवाने हेतु वाराणसी में 9026632633 और 9454777544 नंबरों पर फोन किया जा सकता है। इससे अभिभावक संपर्क करके योजना के बारे में पूरी जानकारी भी ले सकते हैं और खाता खुलवाने में भी उनका पूरा सहयोग किया जायेगा।
