India Post turned 167 years old, with the slogan 'Your friend, India post', Department of Posts took out a rally

On the occasion of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' and 167th foundation day of Indian Postal Department, people were made aware about various schemes of Postal Department by organizing rallies in various Divisions of Varanasi Region on 1st October. Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Postmaster General of Varanasi Region flagged off the rally from Varanasi Cantt Head Post Office premises, which went through Nadesar, Varuna Bridge, Circuit House, Kutchery Chauraha, Ambedkar Chowk and Mint House which ended at Cantt Head Post Office. In this sequence, the rally which was organized at Varanasi Head Post Office, started from Visheshwarganj and reached Dashashwamedh Ghat via Kabir Chaura, Benia Bagh, Godaulia Chauraha & returned through Chowk, Nichi Bagh and ended at Head Post Office. During this, Postal employees were walking in the rallies with placards of various Postal Services in their hands and said slogans regarding cleanliness. The slogans of 'Aapka Dost, India Post' and 'Dak Seva-Jan Seva' attracted the attention of the public On this occasion.


Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that the Department of Posts has access to every door, in every corner of the country and is equally involved in the happiness and sorrow of the people. Today the post office not only delivers letters but also provides a variety of digital and hi-tech public utility services through its wide network. Postal Services are adopting latest technology and providing all public utility services under one roof. Letter, Speed Post, Parcel, E-Money Order, International Money Transfer Service, Savings Bank, Postal Life Insurance, Rural Postal Life Insurance, Philately, Aadhar Enrollment and Updation Service, Post Office Passport Seva Kendra, Common Service Centre, India Post Payments Bank, Ganga Jal, sale of prasad of various famous temples are available under one roof. In the era of Corona pandemic, the Postal employees are providing many facilities to the people sitting at home in the form of 'Corona Warriors'.


 On the occasion Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Varanasi East Division Rajan, Superintendent of Post Office Varanasi West Division Krishna Chandra, Assistant Director Ram Milan, Accounts Officer MP Verma, Senior Postmaster Chandrashekhar Barua, Assistant Superintendent Ajay Kumar, RK Chauhan, Pankaj Kumar, Postal Inspector Shrikant Pal, Vishwambhar Nath Dwivedi, Shashikant Kannojia, Inderjit Pal, Shashi Bhushan, Naresh Bara, Postmaster Cantt Head Post Office Rama Shankar Verma, Public Relations Inspector Anil Sharma, Rajendra Yadav, Rahul Kumar, Sriprakash Gupta, Abhilasha, Ajita, Manju, Usha, Shravan Kumar, Manish Kumar, Umang Shukla, Sarvesh, Ramchandra, Bhupendra, Narendra, Pankaj Kumar along with othrr Departmental employees were present.
