Aadhar registration of children and updation of mobile number at doorstep through Postman

Department of Posts has expanded many services for the convenience of the public. The facility of Aadhaar enrollment and updation is available in Post Offices, which is of great benefit to the public. In continuation of this, Department of Posts has now started the CELC (Child Enrollment Light Client) service through India Post Payments Bank, in which Aadhaar registration for children below 5 years of age can be done at doorstep through Postman. People will also be able to update mobile number in their Aadhaar on their door step through Postman availing this service, said Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Postmaster General, Varanasi Region.

Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that under this, Aadhaar enrollment can be done with the help of Proof of Relationship (POR) for making new Aadhaar for children below 5 years of age through mobile app. For this, parents can get their child's Aadhar enrollment done with the help of their Aadhar or any other valid identity card. Postman will complete the registration process by clicking the photograph of the child through the CELC app installed in the IPPB mobile handset. It will be free of cost. After registration, postman will provide the Enrollment ID, through which the Aadhaar card of the child can also be downloaded by visiting the UIDAI website once Aadhaar is generated.

Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav further added that now there is no need to go anywhere for updation of mobile number in Aadhaar. It can be done easily at doorstep by paying the prescribed fee of only ₹ 50 (including tax) under CELC service through postman. This will also lead to prevention from corona infection and overcrowding, said Mr. Yadav.
