Vaccination is very important to prevent the outbreak of corona pandemic, but in rural areas people are still unable to register for vaccination due to lack of smart phones. In such situation, the postal department will now provide facility of registration and appointment for vaccination of villagers through Branch Post Offices located in rural areas, where post office common service centers will be opened. For this, the process of selection and training of postal employees has been started. The above information was given by the Postmaster General of Varanasi Region Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav.
Postmaster General of Varanasi Region Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that the exercise to open post office common service center for registration and appointment of COVID vaccination in branch post offices has started. They will perform this by using the Co-WIN application from the BO-CSC through mobile app, for which no any fee will be charged. People have to reach the branch post office with the prescribed photo ID and mobile, where this process will be completed through OTP. Vaccination registration and appointment has been started at Gorai branch post office under Mirzamurad Sub Post office in Sevapuri block, being developed as a model block in Prime Minister's Parliamentary constituency Varanasi, where more than 25 people have made registration for vaccination.
Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav added that soon it will be started in 300 other branch post offices of Varanasi Region. This includes 73 branch offices of Varanasi, 26 of Chandauli, 21 of Bhadohi, 60 of Jaunpur, 60 of Ghazipur and 60 of Ballia district. In next phase 475 another Branch Post Offices will also be included.
