पोस्टमास्टर जनरल कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने जौनपुर जिले के प्रथम जी. आई. उत्पाद जौनपुर इमरती पर जारी किया विशेष आवरण

डाक विभाग द्वारा ‘वित्तीय समावेशन डाक मेला’ एवं जीआई उत्पाद पर ‘विशेष आवरण व विरूपण’ विमोचन कार्यक्रम का आयोजन 26 जून, 2024 को हिंदी भवन, जौनपुर में किया गया। कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने भौगोलिक संकेतक प्राप्त जौनपुर जिले के प्रथम जी.आई. उत्पाद ‘जौनपुर इमरती’ पर विशेष आवरण व विरूपण का विमोचन किया। वहीं सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना और महिला सम्मान बचत पत्र की लाभार्थियों को पासबुक वितरित करते हुए सशक्त नारी-समृद्ध समाज का आह्वान किया।

पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा कि अपनी ऐतिहासिक विरासतों के साथ जौनपुर खान पान के मामले में भी समृद्ध रहा है। जौनपुर की इमरती का इतिहास ब्रिटिश शासन काल (लगभग 200 वर्ष) का है। इसकी देश-विदेश में अत्याधिक मांग है। इसकी भौगोलिक विशिष्टता को देखते हुए भारत सरकार द्वारा 30 मार्च, 2024 को इसे भौगोलिक संकेतक प्रदान किया गया है। यह दर्जा प्राप्त करने वाला यह जौनपुर का  प्रथम उत्पाद है। इस पर विशेष आवरण से इसकी वैश्विक स्तर पर ब्रांडिंग और व्यापक प्रचार-प्रसार होगा। यह ‘वोकल फॉर लोकल’ की प्रधानमंत्री जी की संकल्पना को भी आगे बढ़ाता है। भारत की समृद्ध विरासत को डाक टिकटों और विशेष आवरण के माध्यम से अगली पीढ़ियों तक संचारित करने में डाक विभाग की अहम भूमिका है।

पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने  बताया कि वाराणसी क्षेत्र के आसपास के 34 उत्पादों को जीआई प्राप्त है। दुनिया के किसी भी भूभाग में यह सर्वाधिक है। इन जीआई उत्पादों से लगभग पच्चीस हजार करोड़ का सालाना कारोबार और 20 लाख लोग परोक्ष और अपरोक्ष रूप से लाभान्वित हैं।

ग़ौरतलब है कि जौनपुर इमरती साधारण इमरती से बिल्कुल अलग होती है। इसे विशेष रूप से हल्की आंच पर पकाया जाता है और इसमें इस्तेमाल की जाने वाली सामग्री में देशी चीनी (खांडसारी), देशी घी और उड़द की दालें शामिल हैं। यह इतनी मुलायम होती है कि मुंह में डालते ही घुल जाती है।

पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने इस अवसर पर ‘वित्तीय समावेशन महामेला' में सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना, महिला सम्मान बचत पत्र तथा डाक जीवन बीमा के लाभार्थियों को पासबुक व पॉलिसी बॉन्ड भी प्रदान किए। उत्कृष्ट कार्य करने वाले डाककर्मियों को सम्मानित कर उनकी हौसला अफजाई भी की। बेटियों को 'सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना' की पासबुक वितरित करते हुए कहा कि इसके माध्यम से बेटियाँ आत्मनिर्भर बनेंगी तो 'आत्मनिर्भर भारत' की संकल्पना भी साकार होगी। डिजिटल इण्डिया और वित्तीय समावेशन की संकल्पना से समाज के अंतिम व्यक्ति को जोड़ने हेतु डाक घर आज चलते-फिरते बैंक की भूमिका निभा रहे हैं। डाकघरों में एक ही छत के नीचे तमाम सेवाओं को उपलब्ध कराकर और भी कस्टमर फ्रेंडली बनाया गया है।

जौनपुर मंडल के अधीक्षक डाकघर श्री परमानंद कुमार ने बताया कि जौनपुर इमरती पर जारी उक्त विशेष आवरण मय विरूपण 25 रुपए में जौनपुर प्रधान डाकघर एवं फिलैटिलिक ब्यूरो, प्रधान डाकघर वाराणसी में उपलब्ध होगा।

भारतीय डाक विभाग द्वारा "महिला सशक्तिकरण उत्सव" एवं जीआई उत्पादों पर "विशेष आवरण व विरूपण" विमोचन कार्यक्रम का आयोजन काशी हिन्दू विश्वविद्यालय के महामना सभागार में किया गया। कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि केंद्रीय संचार राज्य मंत्री श्री देवुसिंह चौहान ने भौगोलिक संकेतक प्राप्त बनारसी पान (पत्ता), बनारसी लंगडा आम, रामनगर का भंटा और चन्दौली के आदमचीनी चावल पर विशेष आवरण व विरूपण का विमोचन किया। 

वहीं केंद्रीय संचार राज्य मंत्री श्री देवुसिंह चौहान ने सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना और महिला सम्मान बचत पत्र की लाभार्थियों को कैण्ट विधायक श्री सौरभ श्रीवास्तव, उत्तर प्रदेश परिमंडल के चीफ पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री बी. सेल्वकुमार, पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव के साथ पासबुक वितरित करते हुए सशक्त नारी-समृद्ध समाज का आह्वान किया।

केंद्रीय संचार राज्य मंत्री श्री देवुसिंह चौहान ने अपने सम्बोधन में कहा कि, प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने जनकल्याणकारी योजनाओं में सदैव महिलाओं को प्राथमिकता दी है। डाक विभाग की भूमिका में निरंतर सकारात्मक परिवर्तन हो रहे हैं। नारी शक्ति के भविष्य को सुनिश्चित करने वाली प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी  की 'सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना' और आजादी के अमृत काल में आरम्भ 'महिला सम्मान बचत पत्र' योजना डाक विभाग के माध्यम से जन-जन तक पहुंचाई जा रही हैं। वाराणसी क्षेत्र में 2.95 लाख बेटियों के सुकन्या समृद्धि खाते खुले हैं, वहीं 835 गांवों को सम्पूर्ण सुकन्या समृद्धि ग्राम बनाया गया है। अप्रैल 2023 में आरंभ महिला सम्मान बचत पत्र में डेढ़ माह के अंदर वाराणसी क्षेत्र में 3 हजार से ज्यादा महिलाओं ने 19 करोड़ रुपए से ज्यादा निवेश किए हैं, जो इसकी लोकप्रियता को दर्शाता है। डिजिटल इण्डिया और वित्तीय समावेशन की संकल्पना से समाज के अंतिम व्यक्ति को जोड़ने हेतु डाक घर आज चलते-फिरते बैंक की भूमिका निभा रहे हैं। डाक विभाग की सराहना करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि घर-घर अभियान चलाकर जिस तरह से तमाम योजनाओं से बेटियों, महिलाओं, किसानों, युवाओं इत्यादि को जोड़ा जा रहा है, वह प्रशंसनीय है। 

केंद्रीय संचार राज्य मंत्री श्री देवुसिंह चौहान ने कहा कि काशी अपनी आध्यत्मिकता, समृद्ध संस्कृति, विरासत, खानपान जैसी तमाम परम्पराओं को सहेजते हुए सदैव से समाज व देश को एक नई दिशा दे रहा है। यहाँ से जुड़ी तमाम अनूठी चीजों को भौगोलिक संकेतक प्राप्त हुए हैं। डाक विभाग इन पर विशेष आवरण और विरूपण जारी करते हुए इन्हें देश-दुनिया में पहुँचाने का कार्य कर रहा है। खईके पान बनारस वाला को इंगित करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि बनारसी पान और बनारसी लंगडा आम की मिठास पूरी दुनिया में मशहूर है, वहीं  रामनगर का भंटा और चन्दौली का आदमचीनी चावल भी अपनी विशिष्टता के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। इन पर डाक विभाग द्वारा विशेष  आवरण जारी होने से और भी तेजी से देश-विदेश में प्रचार-प्रसार होगा और ज्यादा से ज्यादा लोगों को इस बारे में जानकारी हासिल हो सकेगी।

वाराणसी कैण्ट विधायक श्री सौरभ श्रीवास्तव ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री के नेतृत्व में देश नित् नई ऊँचाइयाँ छू रहा है। महिलाओं के बिना समाज का समावेशी विकास संभव नहीं है। डाक विभाग जिस तरह से प्रधानमंत्री की योजनाओं से समाज के हर वर्ग को जोड़ने का प्रयास कर रहा है, वह सराहनीय है। 

वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा कि अहर्निशं सेवामहे के तहत डाक विभाग अब लोगों तक सिर्फ पत्र ही नहीं पहुँचा रहा, बल्कि सरकार की तमाम जनकल्याणकारी योजनाओं और इनके लाभों को भी लोगों तक पहुँचा रहा है। सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना और महिला सम्मान बचत पत्र योजनाओं के माध्यम से नारी शक्ति आत्मनिर्भर बनेगी तो 'आत्मनिर्भर भारत' की संकल्पना भी साकार होगी। वाराणसी की समृद्ध विरासत को डाक टिकटों और विशेष आवरण के माध्यम से अगली पीढ़ियों तक संचारित करने में डाक विभाग की अहम भूमिका है।

“Mahila Sashaktikaran Utsav" and "Special Cover with cancellation" release program on GI products organized by Department of Posts at Mahamana Auditorium of Banaras Hindu University. The chief guest of the program, Union Minister of State for Communications Shri Devusinh Chauhan, released special cover and cancellation on Geographical Indications Banarasi Paan (Patta), Banarasi Langda Aam, Ramnagar's Bhanta and Chandauli's Adamchini Chawal. On the other hand, while distributing passbooks to the beneficiaries of ‘Sukanya Samridhi Yojana’ and ‘Mahila Samman Saving Certificate’ along with Cantt. MLA Shri Saurabh Srivastava, Chief Postmaster General of Uttar Pradesh Circle Shri B. Selvakumar and Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav, he called for Sashakt Naaree-Samriddh Samaj.

Union Minister of State for Communications Shri Devusinh Chauhan said in his address that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has always given priority to women in public welfare schemes. Continuous positive changes are taking place in the role of Department of Posts. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's 'Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana' and 'Mahila Samman Saving Certificate' schemes started in ‘Azadi ka Amrit Kaal’, which ensure the future of women empower, are being taken to the people through the Department of Posts. Sukanya Samriddhi accounts of 2.95 lakh daughters have been opened in Varanasi Region, while 835 villages have been made complete ‘Sukanya Samriddhi Grams’. More than 3 thousand women have invested more than Rs. 19 crore in ‘Mahila Samman Saving Certificate’ scheme within one and a half months which is started in April 2023, in Varanasi Region, which shows its popularity. To connect the last person of the society with the concept of Digital India and Financial Inclusion, Post Offices are playing the role of mobile banks today. Appreciating the Department of Posts, he said that the manner in which daughters, women, farmers, youth etc. are being linked to various schemes by running door-to-door campaign is praiseworthy.

Union Minister of State for Communications Shri Devusinh Chauhan said that Kashi is always giving a new direction to the society and the country by preserving all its traditions like spirituality, rich culture, heritage and food. All the unique things associated here have got Geographical Indications. The Department of Posts is working to deliver them to the country and the world by issuing special covers and cancellation on them. Pointing to “Khaike Paan Banaras Wala”, he said that the sweetness of Banarasi Paan and Banarasi Langda Aam is famous all over the world, while Ramnagar's Bhanta and Chandauli's Adamchini Chawal are also famous for their uniqueness. With the release of special covers on these by the Department of Posts, publicity will be spread even faster in the country and abroad and more and more people will be able to get information about it.

Varanasi Cantt. MLA Shri Saurabh Srivastava said that the country is touching new heights everyday under the leadership of the Prime Minister. The inclusive development of the society is not possible without women. The way the Department of Posts is trying to connect every section of the society with the schemes of the Prime Minister is commendable.

Welcoming the guests, Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that under “Aharnisham Sewamahe”, the Department of Posts is not only delivering letters to the people, but is also delivering various public welfare schemes of the Government and its benefits to the people. If Naaree Shakti becomes self-reliant through ‘Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana’ and ‘Mahila Samman Savings Certificate’ schemes, then the concept of 'self-reliant India' will also come true. The Department of Posts has a prominent role in transmitting the rich heritage of Varanasi to the next generations through Postage Stamps and Special Covers.

Chief Postmaster General of Uttar Pradesh Circle Shri B. Selvakumar presented the replica of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham to the Minister of State for Communications. The thanksgiving was done by Senior Superintendent of Post Offices Rajan Rao and anchoring was done by Ajita Kumari.

Department of Posts releases special cover on 3 GI products - Banaras Zardozi, Banaras Hand Block Print and Banaras Wood Carving

Department of Posts released three special covers along with cancellation on Geographical Indications (GI) products of Varanasi - Banaras Zardozi, Banaras hand block prints and Banaras wood carvings. It was released by Postmaster General of Varanasi Region, Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav along with Mr. Bhaskar Khulbe, former advisor to the Prime Minister and Padma Shri Dr. Rajni Kanth, GI Expert, at Head Post Office, Varanasi on 23.05.2022.

On this occasion, Mr. Bhaskar Khulbe appreciated the initiative of Department of Posts for releasing special covers on GI products and said that it would give a new identity to the GI products at national & international level. Varanasi Postal Department is leading by issuing the maximum number of special covers on GI products across the country. Realizing the concept of 'AatmaNirbhar Bharat', GI products are able to build their branding globally as well national level and transforming the concept from 'Local' to 'Global'. GI products can be defined as 'Gifts from India' also. Mr. Khulbe said that GI products are being delivered directly from the producers to the consumers by postman through Postal Dept. The economy has also benefited greatly from this. The way Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi himself has taken the initiative to promote GI products, it is getting new identity from local to global form and also being vocal for local.

Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that the GI products of Varanasi have a unique identity across the world and this art has been preserved by the artisans here for centuries. Varanasi Region has released 11 special covers on GI  related to Varanasi. Through these special covers, the traditional handicrafts, workmanship and culture of Banaras will be promoted in the country and abroad. Mr. Yadav said that special cover on 6 GI products related to Varanasi – Banaras Brocade and Sarees, Banaras Pink Minakari Craft, Varanasi Soft Stone Jali Work, Varanasi Wooden Lacquerware Toys, Banaras Metal Repose Craft and Varanasi Glass Beads has already been issued. Since the reach of the Department of Posts is universal, GI products will also reach door to door through this. While GI products are being sent abroad through International Business Center, now their dispatch is being made more smooth by setting up of Parcel Packaging Unit.

GI Expert Padma Shri Dr. Rajni Kanth said that Varanasi is having privilege to have 18 GI products out of 34 of Uttar Pradesh, with an annual turnover of about Rs 22,500 crore. Around 20 lakh artisans are associated with GI products in and around Varanasi. At present, 10 more products from Varanasi are in the process of getting GI tag. Efforts are on to get GI tag for agro products, horticulture products, special rice and sweets in the coming days.
