Crazy fans find solace in commemorative stamps issued on FIFA World Cup

India may not be participating in the FIFA World Cup-2014 but craze for it is not less than any other country. Fans want to collect everything related to FIFA World Cup-2014 as souvenirs. 

Keeping in mind this attraction for FIFA World Cup-2014, Postal Department has issued a set of four commemorative postage stamps and one miniature sheet. Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director Postal Services, Allahabad Region said that these stamps depicts matches in the field and mascot of 2014 FIFA World Cup, Fuleco. This release is a tribute to the Football fans in India and across the world. It is worthwhile to mention here that these stamps were released by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi on the evening of 12^th June.

Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, told that these stamps are available in Allahabad Region at Philatelic Bureaus of Allahabad and Varanasi. Stamps worth more than Rs. 30,000 have been sold to the customers on first day in Allahabad. These customers include not only youngsters and school children who are fans of Football but government officers working in various fields, Judges, Doctors, Engineers, Advocates, Sport Persons and people from Corporate World. Not only Allahabad, but people are coming from nearby districts to purchase these stamps. Many of these people are procuring these postage stamps for gifting to other persons also. Other than above, these stamps and other items are being also dispatched by registered post to 797 Philatelic Deposit Account holders of Allahabad Philatelic Bureau, added Mr. KK Yadav.

Director Mr. Yadav also told that out of these four stamps, two are available in the denomination of rupees 25/- each, while other two are available at Rs. 5/- each. Department of Posts has got 9 lakh each stamps printed (9 lakh x 4= 36 lakh), whereas 4 lakh miniature sheets have been printed. Apart from these, First Day Cover and Information Brochure have also been issued, which are available for Rs. 5/- each respectively.

फीफा विश्वकप 2014 पर जारी डाक टिकटों के लिए दिखा क्रेज

ब्राजील में खेले जा रहे विश्वकप फुटबाल में भारतीय टीम की हिस्सेदारी भले ही न हो पर यहाॅंँ के लोगों में दीवानगी की कोई कमी नहीं है। फीफा विश्वकप 2014 से जुड़ी हर चीज को लोग सहेज कर रखना चाहते हैं। लोगों के इसी आर्कषण के चलते डाक विभाग ने फीफा विश्वकप 2014 पर चार डाक टिकटों का एक सेट तथा एक मिनिएचर  शीट जारी किया है। इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र के निदेशक डाक सेवाएं श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि इन डाक टिकटों पर  मैदान में चल रहे मुकाबले तथा फीफा विश्व कप, 2014 के उद्घाटन समारोह में इसके शुभांकर फ्यूलेकों का अंकन किया गया हैं। ये डाक टिकटें भारत और विश्व भर के फुटबाल प्रेमियों के प्रति उपयुक्त आभार की अभिव्यक्ति हैं। 

गौरतलब है कि 12 जून की देर शाम प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने इन डाक टिकटों को जारी किया। यह पहला अवसर था जबकि किसी विश्व खेल आयोजन के मौके पर उसी दिन भारत में भी किसी प्रधानमंत्री ने कोई डाक टिकट जारी किया हो। 

डाक निदेशक श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र में ये डाक टिकट इलाहाबाद और वाराणसी स्थित फिलेटलिक ब्यूरो में उपलब्ध हंै और इलाहाबाद ब्यूरो में पहले दिन ही 30,000 से ज्यादा राशि के डाक टिकटों को लोगों ने हाथों-हाथ खरीदा। इनमें सिर्फ फुटबाल प्रेमी और फिलेटलिस्टस ही नहीं बल्कि विभिन्न कार्यक्षेत्रों कार्य करने वाले अधिकारी, जज, डाॅक्टर, इंजीनियर, वकील, खिलाड़ी से लेकर कारपोरेट जगत से जुड़े लोग तक शामिल हैं। स्कूली बच्चों और युवाओं में इसको लेकर काफी क्रेज देखा जा रहा है। सिर्फ इलाहाबाद ही नहीं, अगल-बगल के जिलों से भी लोग इन डाक टिकटों को खरीदने आ रहे हैं और इनमें से कई लोग तो इन डाक टिकटों को लोगों को गिफ्ट भी कर रहे हैं। इसके अलावा इलाहाबाद फिलेटलिक ब्यूरो से नियमित रूप से जुड़े 797 फिलेटलिक डिपाजिट एकाउंट होल्डर्स को भी यह डाक टिकट व अन्य सामग्री रजिस्टर्ड डाक से भेजी जा रही है। 

श्री यादव ने बताया कि इन डाक टिकटों में दो डाक टिकट 25-25 रूपये और दो डाक टिकट 5-5 रूपये के मूल्यवर्ग में उपलब्ध है। इनमें हर डाक टिकट 9 लाख की संख्या में एवं इसके अलावा 4 लाख मिनीएचर शीट जारी की गयी हैं। इसके अलावा इस पर प्रथम दिवस आवरण एवं विवरणिका भी जारी की गयी हैै।

'फीफा विश्व कप - 2014' पर भारत के प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने जारी किया विशेष डाक टिकट

ब्राजील में गुरुवार रात से शुरू हो रहे 20वें फीफा विश्व कप फुटबॉल टूर्नामेंट 'फीफा विश्व कप - 2014' पर भारत के प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने आज  12 जून को नई दिल्ली में चार स्मारक डाक टिकटों का विशेष सेट जारी किया।  यह पहला अवसर है जबकि किसी विश्व खेल आयोजन के मौके पर उसी दिन भारत में भी किसी प्रधानमंत्री ने कोई डाक टिकट जारी किया हो।

दिल्ली में आयोजित एक समारोह में मोदी ने डाक टिकट जारी करते हुए खेल की महत्ता पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने कहा कि किसी भी इंसान का जीवन खेल के बिना अधूरा है। बच्चों को तेजस्वी बनाने में खेल अहमं भूमिका अदा करते हैं। हम चाहते हैं देश के फूल जैसे बच्चे खेल से जुड़े।

उन्होंने भारतीय डाक  विभाग को विश्व कप फुटबॉल पर टिकट जारी करने के लिए विशेष रूप से धन्यवाद देते हुए कहा कि हमारा ध्येय यही है कि यह डाक टिकट फुटबॉल प्रेमियों तक पहुंचे। 

प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा मेरा मानना है कि खेल अपनापन लाते हैं। मैं विश्व कप में भाग ले रही तमाम टीमों को अपनी तरफ से शुभकामनाएं देता हूं।

जौनपुर प्रधान डाकघर में कोर बैंकिंग सेवा का निदेशक डाक सेवाएं कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने किया उद्घाटन

जौनपुर प्रधान डाकघर में कोर बैकिंग सोल्यूशन (सीबीएस) सेवा का उदघाटन 2 जून 2014 को इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र के निदेशक डाक सेवाएं श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव द्वारा किया गया। इस अवसर पर शिलापट्ट  का अनावरण कर एवं दीप प्रज्जवलित कर जौनपुर प्रधान डाकघर के सीबीएस से जुड़ने का उन्होंने शुभारंभ किया। श्री यादव ने बताया कि वर्तमान में उत्तर प्रदेश में जौनपुर प्रधान डाकघर  को लेकर कुल 90 डाकघर सीबीएस के तहत कार्य करना आरंभ कर चुके हैं। 

उदघाटन करते हुए इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र के निदेशक डाक सेवाएं श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा सीबीएस से जुड़ने के बाद एनीव्हेयर एनीटाइम बैंकिंग के तहत क्रमबद्ध रूप में धीरे-धीरे ग्राहकों को आन लाइन बैंकिंग, मोबाइल बैंकिंग, नेट बैंकिंग और एटीएम इत्यादि का लाभ मिल सकेगा, जिससे प्रधान डाकघर के 1 लाख 54 हजार से ज्यादा खाताधारक लाभान्वित होंगे । इनमें खाताधारकों  का 2 अरब 14 करोड़ रूपये जमा है। इसके तहत यह अब संचय पोस्ट के बजाय फिनैकल साफ्टवेयर पर काम होगा और मुंबई  स्थित सेन्ट्रल सर्वर से प्रधान डाकघर सीधे जुड़ जायेगा, जिससे आॅनलाइन लेन-देन में सहूलियत होगी। 

डाक निदेशक श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि अब बचत अभिकर्ताओं को भी सहूलियत होगी और वे पोर्टल पर जाकर घर बैठे लोगों का पैसा जमा कर सकेंगे और तद्नुसार उत्पन्न कोड डाकघर आकर बताने पर, वह लिंक हो जायेगा। यही नहीं अब अभिकर्ताओं का कमीशन उनके डाकघर बचत खाता में सीधे जायेगा।उन्होंने कहा कि अब सभी खाते 10 नंबरों के हो जायेंगे और सभी ग्राहकों को कम्प्यूटराइज्ड पासबुक मिलेगी।  

डाक अधीक्षक श्री टी. बी. सिंह ने कहा कि जौनपुर में जौनपुर प्रधान डाकघर सीबीएस प्रणाली के तहत कार्य करने वाला प्रथम डाकघर है। प्रधान डाकघर के सीबीएस से जुड़ने पर यह देश के अन्य सीबीएस डाकघरों से जुड़ गया है। उन्होंने बताया कि शीघ्र ही जौनपुर के अन्य डाकघरों को सीबीएस के तहत लाने का प्रयास किया जायेगा।

कार्यक्रम में पोस्टमास्टर श्री आनंद कुमार श्रीवास्तव, सहायक डाक अधीक्षक सर्वश्री पीआर सरोज, प्रभाकर त्रिपाठी, डाक निरीक्षक सर्वश्री दीपक कुमार, अजय कुमार, एसपी राय, एके शुक्ला सहित तमाम अधिकारी एवं कर्मचारी व बचत अभिकर्तागण मौजूद रहे। 

Allahabad Kutchery HO has become 90th CBS Post Office in Uttar Pradesh

Core banking service was inaugurated at Allahabad  Kutchery Head Post Office by Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director Postal Services, Allahabad Region. On this occasion, he announced launch of Core banking services at Allahabad Kty Head Office by cutting ribbon and lighting lamp.

In his inaugural address Director Postal Services, Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said under Core banking, as a part of any time anywhere banking, online banking, mobile banking and net banking facilities and ATM facilities etc. will be provided to customers, in a systematic manner. With the launch of this facility more than 86 thousand account holders of Allahabad Kty HO will be benefited. Total deposits at Allahabad Kty HO amounts to three hundred and thirty seven crore rupees.  Under CBS work bill be now done on Finacle software in place of Sanchay Post, and this office will be now linked to central server at Mumbai. He further said that now new 10 digit account numbers will be allotted to all accounts and customers will get the facility of computerized passbook.

Director Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that in Allahabad, after Allahabad Head Post office, High Court Post Office, Ahmadganj Post Office, and CDA Pension Post Office, Allahabad Kty HO will be the fifth Post office to be linked to CBS. He told that Allahabad  Kutchery Head Post Office has become 90^th Post Office in Uttar Pradesh and has started functioning on CBS platform.

Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Mr. Rahmatullah said that after launch of CBS, Saving Agents can make deposit from their home using the agent portal, after showing the code provided at the portal money will be deposited in the accounts by Post office. Not only this, now commission of the agents will be directly credited to their Post Office Saving Bank Account. He also said that efforts will be made to bring more office of Allahabad under Core banking. 

           

On this occasion Deputy Superintendent of Post Offices, Mr. G. C. Yadav, Postmaster, Mr. Vinod Kumar Srivastava, Assistant Superintendent of Posts Mr. P. C. इलाहाबाद कचेहरी प्रधान डाकघर में कोर बैकिंग सोल्यूशन (सीबीएस) सेवा का उदघाटन 2 जून 2014 को इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र के निदेशक डाक सेवाएं श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव द्वारा किया गया। इस अवसर पर फीता काटकर एवं दीप प्रज्जवलित कर कचेहरी प्रधान डाकघर के सीबीएस से जुड़ने का उन्होंने शुभारंभ किया। 

  उदघाटन करते हुए इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र के निदेशक डाक सेवाएं श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा सीबीएस से जुड़ने के बाद एनीव्हेयर एनीटाइम बैंकिंग के तहत क्रमबद्ध रूप में धीरे-धीरे ग्राहकों को आन लाइन बैंकिंग, मोबाइल बैंकिंग, नेट बैंकिंग और एटीएम इत्यादि का लाभ मिल सकेगा, जिससे कचेहरी प्रधान डाकघर के 86 हजार से ज्यादा खाताधारक लाभान्वित होंगे । इनमें खाताधारको  का 3 अरब 37 करोड़ रूपये जमा है। इसके तहत यह अब संचय पोस्ट के बजाय फिनैकल साफ्टवेयर पर काम होगा और मुंबई  स्थित सेन्ट्रल सर्वर से प्रधान डाकघर सीधे जुड़ जायेगा, जिससे आॅनलाइन लेन-देन में सहूलियत होगी। अब सभी खाते 10 नंबरों के हो जायेंगे और सभी ग्राहकों को कम्प्यूटराइज्ड पासबुक मिलेगी।

प्रवर डाक अधीक्षक श्री रहमतउल्ला ने कहा कि अब बचत अभिकर्ताओं को भी सहूलियत होगी और वे पोर्टल पर जाकर घर बैठे लोगों का पैसा जमा कर सकेंगे और तद्नुसार उत्पन्न कोड डाकघर आकर बताने पर, वह लिंक हो जायेगा। यही नहीं अब अभिकर्ताओं का कमीशन उनके डाकघर बचत खाता में सीधे जायेगा। उन्होंने बताया कि शीघ्र ही इलाहाबाद के अन्य डाकघरों को सीबीएस के तहत लाने का प्रयास किया जायेगा।

Postal Assistant’s/Sorting Assistant's Direct recruitment examination successfully conducted in Uttar Pradesh

Direct Recruitment Examination of Postal Assistants / Sorting Assistant organized by Department of Posts was conducted on 01^st June, 2014 in Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat Circle.  Candidates had started gathering at various centers since early morning. In Allahabad, it was conducted peacefully and smoothly on 49 centers.  Director Postal Services of Allahabad Region Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav visited various examination centers and inspected the whole process. In Uttar Pradesh Circle total 668 Postal Assistants/ Sorting Assistants and other Assistants are to be recruited. Out of which, in Allahabad Region recruitment against 92 posts are to be made.

Against 41069 applicants, a total of 31365 candidates appeared in the examination, i.e. 76% attendance was observed in Allahabad, said Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director Postal Services. Maximum number of candidates appeared at Boys High School (1960), Bishop Johnson School and College, Civil Lines (1802) and Smt. Phoolpati Devi Inter College, Bamrauli (1261).

Mr. KK Yadav told that four sections of 25 marks each consisting of General Knowledge, Mathematics, English, Reasoning and Analytical Ability were there in the examination paper. This examination was of objective type. Since there was no negative marking, generally candidates attempted all of the questions. In General Knowledge section, questions like Which British General defeated Peshwa Baji Rao II, What’s the name of India’s first dedicated military satellite, What’s the India’s ranking in 2014 Environmental performance index, What’s the name of the state where country’s first Monorail service commenced its operations recently, Name the poet of Delhi Sultanate who was adorned with title of ‘The Parrot of Hindustan' were asked. Whereas in reasoning questions like, A tired lady slept at 07:45 PM. If she rose at 12 noon, for how many hours did she slept, were asked.

He further added that a candidate of General Category will be required to obtain 10 marks; Other Backward class candidate will be required to obtain 9 marks, whereas a scheduled caste candidate will be required to obtain 8 marks in each section to qualify for the next round. Candidates appearing in merit list of this written exam will have to compulsorily qualify in the computer and typing test for final selection.

डाक विभाग द्वारा आयोजित डाक सहायक/ /छँटाई सहायक परीक्षा सम्पन्न

डाक विभाग द्वारा आयोजित डाक सहायक व छँटाई सहायक परीक्षा 01 जून, 2014 को उत्तर प्रदेश और गुजरात परिमंडलों में संपन्न हुई। विभिन्न परीक्षा केन्द्रों पर सुबह से ही परीक्षार्थियों की भीड़ लगनी प्रारंभ हो गयी थी।  इलाहाबाद के 49 केन्द्रों पर शान्तिपूर्ण और सौहार्दपूर्वक वातावरण में परीक्षा संपन्न हुई। इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र के निदेशक डाक सेवायें श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने विभिन्न केन्द्रों का निरीक्षण कर जायजा लिया। 

इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र के निदेशक डाक सेवायें श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि  उत्तर प्रदेश परिमंडल में कुल 658 डाक सहायकों/छँटाई सहायकों एवं अन्य सहायकों की भर्ती होनी है। जिसमें से इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र में 92 पदों पर भर्ती की जानी है। इलाहाबाद के 49 केन्द्रों पर 41,069 परीक्षार्थियों के सापेक्ष कुल 31,365 परीक्षार्थी परीक्षा में सम्मिलित हुए अर्थात 76 प्रतिशत उपस्थिति रही। सबसे ज्यादा अभ्यर्थी व्वायज हाई स्कूल (1960), बिशप जानसन स्कूल एण्ड कालेज सिविल लाइन्स (1802) व श्रीमती फूलपती देवी इण्टर कालेज बमरौली (1261) परीक्षा केन्द्रों पर सम्मिलित रहे। 

गौरतलब है कि परीक्षा में 25-25 अंक के चार खण्ड शामिल थे जिनमें  सामान्य अध्ययन, गणित, अंग्रेजी व रीजनिंग के प्रश्न शामिल थे। यह परीक्षा वस्तुनिष्ठ श्रेणी की थी। नकारात्मक अंक न होने के कारण परीक्षार्थियों ने प्रायः सारे प्रश्नों को हल किया। इसमें सामान्य ज्ञान के तहत पूछा गया कि, पेशवा बाजीराव द्वितीय को पराजित करने वाला ब्रिटिश जनरल कौन था, सेना को समर्पित भारत का पहला उपग्रह कौन सा है, 2014 पर्यावरण निष्पादन सूचकांक में भारत की रैकिंग क्या है, देश के किस राज्य में अभी हाल में ही मोनो रेल सेवा का प्रचलन शुरू किया गया, दिल्ली सल्तनत का एक प्रसिद्ध कवि जिसे हिन्दुस्तान का तोता कहा जाता है, कौन है? इसी प्रकार रीजनिंग में पूछे गये प्रश्नों में एक थकी हुई महिला 7.45 सायं पर सो गयी, यदि वह 12.00 बजे दिन में उठती है तो वह कितनी देर सोयी, इत्यादि प्रश्न सम्मिलित थे। 

निदेशक डाक सेवायें श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि सामान्य श्रेणी के परीक्षार्थियों को परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण करने हेतु 10 अंक, अन्य पिछड़ी जाति के परीक्षार्थियों के लिए 9 अंक व अनुसूचित जाति के परीक्षार्थियों के लिए 8 अंक प्रत्येक खण्ड में प्राप्त करना अनिवार्य है। श्री यादव ने कहा कि इस परीक्षा में मेरिट में स्थान पाने वाले परीक्षार्थियों को कम्प्यूटर एवं टाइपिंग टेस्ट को अनिवार्यतः उत्तीर्ण करना होगा, तदोपरान्त ही अंतिम आधार पर उनका चयन किया जायेगा। 

डाक विभाग में डाक सहायकों की भर्ती हेतु उ.प्र. में 1 जून को परीक्षा

डाक विभाग द्वारा डाक सहायक/छँटाई सहायक में भर्ती हेतु परीक्षा का आयोजन इलाहाबाद में 49 परीक्षा केन्द्रों पर किया जायेगा। इस संबंध में इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र के निदेशक डाक सेवायें श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने तैयारियों की समीक्षा की और सभी को उनके कार्यों की जानकारी दी। उन्होंने बताया कि इलाहाबाद के 49 परीक्षा केन्द्रों पर डाक विभाग ने विभिन्न डाक मंडलों से 2-2 प्रेक्षक (ऑब्जर्वर) नियुक्त किये है। इसके अलावा परीक्षा में किसी भी प्रकार की गड़बड़ी को रोकने के लिए पुलिस अधिकारियों को भी समुचित व्यवस्था करने हेतु लिखा गया है। डाक विभाग इस परीक्षा का आयोजन सीएमसी लिमिटेड कंपनी के माध्यम से करा रहा है। 

गौरतलब है कि डाक विभाग द्वारा पूरे उत्तर प्रदेश में 01 जून, 2014 दिन रविवार को प्रातः 11-00 से 01-00 बजे तक डाक सहायक/छँटाई सहायक परीक्षा आयोजन किया जा रहा है। इसमें उत्तर प्रदेश में इलाहाबाद, वाराणसी, लखनऊ, आगरा, बरेली, कानपुर, गोरखपुर, नोएडा, गाजियाबाद एवं सहारनपुर कुल 10 जगहों पर परीक्षायें आयोजित की जा रही हैं। गौरतलब है कि डाक विभाग इस परीक्षा का आयोजन सीएमसी लिमिटेड कंपनी के माध्यम से करा रहा है। 

निदेशक डाक सेवायें श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि इलाहाबाद में कुल 49 केन्द्रों पर परीक्षाओं का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। इनमें बिशप जानसन, ब्वायाज हाई स्कूल, आर्य कन्या इन्टर कालेज, क्रास्थवेट इन्टर कालेज, ईश्वर शरण डिग्री कालेज, मैरी लुकस स्कूल और कालेज, प्रयाग महिला विद्यापीठ इन्टर कालेज, हिन्दू महिला विद्यालय इन्टर कालेज इत्यादि विद्यालय शामिल हैं।

श्री यादव ने बताया कि उत्तर प्रदेश परिमंडल में कुल 658 डाक सहायकों/छँटाई सहायकों एवं अन्य सहायकों की भर्ती होनी है। जिसमें से इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र में 107 पदों पर भर्ती की जानी है। पूरे उत्तर प्रदेश में लगभग 3 लाख 41 हजार परीक्षार्थी परीक्षा में सम्मिलित होंगे, जिनमें से इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र में कुल 41069 परीक्षार्थी शामिल हो रहे हैं। गत वर्ष इलाहाबाद में 33,344 परीक्षार्थियों के सापेक्ष कुल 22,000 परीक्षार्थी परीक्षा में सम्मिलित हुए थे। 

डाक निदेशक श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि किसी भी अभ्यर्थी को डाक द्वारा प्रवेश पत्र नहीं भेजा जा रहा है। परीक्षा हेतु अर्ह सभी अभ्यर्थी  www.pasadrexam2014.in  वेबसाईट पर जाकर अपनी पंजीकरण संख्या व पासवर्ड के जरिये अपना प्रवेश पत्र डाउनलोड कर सकते हैं। श्री यादव ने बताया कि परीक्षा हाल में उक्त प्रवेश पत्र के साथ फोटो आई-कार्ड लाना अनिवार्य है।

History of Allahabad Head Post Office: अतीत के आईने में इलाहाबाद हेड पोस्ट ऑफिस

इलाहाबाद हेड पोस्ट ऑफिस की पुरानी बिल्डिंग। अंग्रेजों के ज़माने में  वर्ष 1834 में निर्मित इस बिल्डिंग का स्थापत्य, कमरों की डिज़ायन और बड़े-बड़े हॉल वाकई मनमोहक हैं।  अंग्रेजों के ज़माने में निर्मित इस भवन में अब इंस्पेक्शन क्वार्टर्स के अलावा पोस्टमास्टर रेजिडेंस, मेल व डिलिवरी सेक्शन, ट्रेजरी, एकाउंट सेक्शन, कांफ्रेंस हॉल और पोस्टल स्टोर डिपो का कुछ भाग अवस्थित है। हममें से अधिकतर लोग, जिन्होंने इलाहाबाद में रहकर कम्पटीशन की तैयारी की है या सिविल लाइंस से गुजरे होंगे, इस पुरानी बिल्डिंग से जरूर रूबरू हुए होंगे.

इलाहाबाद हेड पोस्ट ऑफिस की नई बिल्डिंग।  इसका उद्घाटन 15 अगस्त, 1973 को तत्कालीन संचार मंत्री श्री हेमवती नंदन बहुगुणा द्वारा किया गया था। इस भवन में कुल 4 तल हैं।  इसमें प्रथम और द्वितीय ताल पर  इलाहाबाद प्रधान डाक घर, तृतीय तल पर प्रवर डाक अधीक्षक, इलाहाबाद मंडल का कार्यालय और चतुर्थ तल  पर निदेशक डाक सेवाएं और पोस्टमास्टर जनरल, इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र का कार्यालय है। 

इलाहाबाद हेड पोस्ट ऑफिस का 'प्रोजेक्ट एरो' (फेज 2) के तहत वर्ष 2009 में कायाकल्प किया जा चुका है। यहाँ कोर बैंकिंग सॉल्यूशन (CBS) भी 5 मार्च, 2014 से प्रभावी है। 

इलाहाबाद प्रधान डाक घर के भू-तल पर ही डाक टिकट संग्रहकर्ताओं के लिए 'फिलेटलिक ब्यूरो' संचालित है। इस ब्यूरो में डाक टिकटों और फिलेटलिक वस्तुओं के अलावा पुराने ज़माने में डाकियों या हरकारों द्वारा इस्तेमाल किये  बल्लम, घुँघरू, तलवार, सेर वाले बाट और ब्रिटिश काल की ऑर्डर बुक इत्यादि संग्रहित हैं। 

इलाहाबाद हेड पोस्ट ऑफिस की पुरानी बिल्डिंग में ईस्ट इण्डिया कंपनी का सिम्बल रॉयल कोट ऑफ़ आर्म्स (Royal Coat of Arms) विभिन्न खण्डों में मिला था,  जिसे संरक्षित करके 9 मार्च, 2009 को नई बिल्डिंग के भू-ताल पर स्थित 'फिलेटलिक ब्यूरो' में स्थापित किया गया।

Postal employees of Allahabad felicitated by Director Postal Services K K Yadav

A programme to felicitate officers and employees of the Postal Department, for their outstanding performance in various postal services and earning high revenue, was organized on 12 May, 2014 in the premises of Allahabad Head Post Office. Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director Postal Services, Allahabad Region felicitated the top performers with trophies and Certificates of Appreciation.

Addressing the felicitation programme Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director Postal Services, Allahabad Region said that best results may be obtained only when officers and employees are praised and motivated for their good work, it also creates an atmosphere of healthy competition among the staff and motivates them to yield good results. He further added that while the postal department is continuously working to modernize itself, it’s revenues have also increased. Director Mr. Yadav told that in Allahabad Division, Postal Department has achieved growth in revenue. During the financial year 2013-14, Allahabad Division earned 22.27 crore in Postal Operations, 16.47 crore in Business Development, and 18.74 crore in Saving Bank schemes. In the last financial year, 1,58,420 new accounts were opened. Whereas, in Postal Life Insurance 41.14 crore and in Rural Postal Life Insurance 17.41 crore worth insurance policies were issued during the last financial year.

Director Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that year 2014-15 is very crucial for the Postal Department as during this period Core Banking Solution (Finacle) and Core Insurance Solution (McCamish) will be introduced respectively for Banking and Insurance work in all Post Offices under the I T Modernization Project. After implementation of McCamish, customers of Postal Life Insurance and Rural Postal Life Insurance will be able to purchase insurance policies online, pay premium online and view details of their policies online. Likewise, Post Offices will start offering Internet Banking, Mobile banking, and ATM and other services to their customers. It may be noted that CBS has been already implemented in 52 Post Offices in Uttar Pradesh. Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director Postal Services also announced start of CBS at Allahabad High Court Post Office from today, it will be the first Sub Post Office of Allahabad, migrated to CBS platform.

On this occasion, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Allahabad Division, Mr. Rahmatullah said that Postal Department is working continuously to provide best services to its customers, and implementation of I T Modernization Project is in full swing. He further said that we have to start working from the beginning itself for achievement of targets allotted for the current financial year.

17  Postal Officials were awarded by Director Postal Services, Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav o n this occasion, including Mr. Vinay Yadav, Assist. Supdt, and Mr. C. L. Mishra, Sub Postmaster, Daraganj for Postal Life Insurance, Mr. R. C. Shukla, Postman, Meja Sub Post Office for Rural Postal Life Insurance, Mr. Pyarelal Maurya for opening highest number of Saving bank accounts, Mr. Rajneesh Srivastava, Postal Assistant, Allahabad Division for excellent marketing.

A Daak Mela was also organized on this occasion at Allahabad Head Post office in which Postal Life Insurance worth 2 crore, Rural Postal Life Insurance worth 3 crore and 6000 new accounts were opened.

           

On this occasion, Senior Postmaster, Mr. O. B. Singh, Asstt Supdt, Mr. P. C. Tiwari, Inspectors A. K. Singh, R P Srivastava, Dileep Yadav, Manvijay Singh, Gyanendra Prajapati and other officers and employees were present.
