Department of Posts has started e-passbook service for its account holders. Using e-passbook service, account holders of various Post office small savings schemes like Savings Bank (SB), Recurring Deposit (RD), Term Deposit (TD), Sukanya Samriddhi Account (SSA), Monthly Income Scheme (MIS), Public Provident Fund Account (PPF), NSC and KVP will be able to know the balances of their accounts as well as will also be able to get the mini statement of S.B., SSA & P.P.F accounts online free of cost. Mini statement will contain the particulars of the last 10 transactions. Highlighting this, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav, Postmaster General, Varanasi Region said that now the account holders will be able to get information about their accounts at anytime without using net banking and mobile banking. To avail e-Passbook service, it is mandatory to have a mobile number linked in the respective account.
Postmaster General, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that the Department of Posts is continuously upgrading its services and making it customer friendly by adopting innovation and latest technology. No registration or ID/password is required for e-passbook. This is an important step towards making the post office investment even more secure. It will also be helpful in preventing fraud related activities.
Process of e-passbook-
Postmaster General, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that for e-passbook facility, one has to click on the e-passbook link given on the website of the Department of Posts i.e. www.indiapost.gov.in or India Post Payments Bank website i.e. www.ippbonline.com or it can also be accessed directly through U.R.L https://posbseva.ippbonline.com/indiapost/signin. After opening of the webpage, the account holder will have to enter the linked mobile number in specified column. OTP will receive on the mobile after entering the captcha. After entering the OTP, option of Balance Enquiry and Mini Statement will be available for selection. Mini Statement can also be downloaded in PDF format through it.
Shri Yadav further informed that e-passbook service will add new dimension to digital banking. Now, Account holders will no longer have to visit post offices to enquire account balance or information about deposit and withdrawal. They can easily get mini statement and complete information about balances while sitting at home. e-Passbook facility will benefit 29.16 lakh account holders of Varanasi Region which includes 4.17 lakh of Varanasi (East) Division, 7.84 lakh of Varanasi (West) Division, 6.14 lakh of Ballia, 4.09 lakh of Ghazipur and 6.92 of Jaunpur.

डाक विभाग ने अपने खाताधारकों के लिए ई-पासबुक सेवा की शुरुआत की है। ई-पासबुक सेवा का उपयोग कर जहाँ डाकघर की विभिन्न लघु बचत योजनाओं - बचत बैंक, आवर्ती जमा (आर.डी), सावधि जमा (टी.डी.), सुकन्या समृद्धि खाता (एस.एस.ए.), मासिक आय योजना (एम.आई.एस), लोक भविष्य निधि खाता (पी.पी.एफ), एन.एस.सी और के.वी.पी के खाताधारक अपने खातों के बैलेंस जान सकेंगे वही एस.बी.,सुकन्या व पी.पी.एफ खातों के मिनी स्टेटमेंट भी ऑनलाइन नि:शुल्क प्राप्त कर सकेंगे I मिनी स्टेटमेंट में अंतिम 10 लेन-देन की पूरी जानकारी होगी। उक्त जानकारी देते हुए वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि अब नेट बैंकिंग और मोबाइल बैंकिंग का प्रयोग किये बिना ही खाताधारक अपने खाते की जानकारी कभी भी प्राप्त कर सकेंगे। इस सेवा का लाभ लेने के लिए खाते में मोबाइल नंबर लिंक होना अनिवार्य है।
पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा कि नवाचार और नवीनतम टेक्नोलॉजी को अपनाकर डाक विभाग अपनी सेवाओं को निरंतर हाई-टेक और कस्टमर फ्रेंडली बना रहा है। ई-पासबुक सेवा के लिए किसी भी प्रकार के पंजीकरण या आई.डी/पासवर्ड की आवश्यकता नहीं है। यह डाकघर में होने वाले निवेश को और भी ज्यादा सुरक्षित करने की ओर एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। इससे फ्राड संबंधी गतिविधियों को भी रोका जा सकता है।
ई-पासबुक की प्रक्रिया-
पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि ई-पासबुक की सुविधा के लिए डाक विभाग की वेबसाइट www.indiapost.gov.in या इंडिया पोस्ट पेमेंट्स बैंक की वेबसाइट www.ippbonline.com पर दिए गए ई-पासबुक लिंक पर क्लिक करना होगा अथवा यू.आर.एल. https://posbseva.ippbonline.com/indiapost/signin का प्रयोग कर सीधे ई-पासबुक की वेबसाइट तक पहुँचा जा सकता है। लिंक खुलने के बाद खाताधारक को निर्दिष्ट कॉलम में पंजीकृत मोबाइल नंबर डालना होगा I कैप्चा दर्ज करके लॉगिन करते ही मोबाइल पर ओ.टी.पी आएगा I इसे दर्ज करने के बाद बचत योजना का चयन कर खाता संख्या दर्ज करनी होगी और पुनः मोबाइल पर प्राप्त ओ.टी.पी डालना होगा। इसके बाद बैलेंस पूछताछ व मिनी स्टेटमेंट के विकल्प का चयन करते ही विवरण उपलब्ध हो जाएगा I मिनी स्टेटमेंट को पी.डी.एफ फॉर्मेट में डाउनलोड करने की सुविधा भी दी गयी है।
श्री यादव ने आगे बताया कि ई-पासबुक सेवा, डिजिटल बैंकिंग को नई दिशा प्रदान करेगी। खाते के बैलेंस व जमा-निकासी की जानकारी हेतु खाताधारकों को अब डाकघर नही आना पड़ेगा और वह घर बैठे आसानी से मिनी स्टेटमेंट व बैलेंस की पूरी जानकारी प्राप्त कर सकेंगेI इस सुविधा से वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के 29.16 लाख खाताधारक लाभान्वित होंगे जिसमें वाराणसी पूर्वी मंडल के 4.17 लाख, वाराणसी पश्चिमी मंडल के 7.84 लाख, बलिया के 6.14 लाख, गाजीपुर के 4.09 लाख व जौनपुर के 6.92 खाताधारक शामिल हैं।
