डाकघर बचत योजनाओं को और सुलभ तथा कस्टमर-फ्रेंडली बनाने के लिए डाक विभाग ने टोल फ्री नम्बर जारी किया है। जिससे डाकघर बचत खाताधारक घर बैठे डाक विभाग की तमाम सेवाएं प्राप्त कर सकेंगे और अपनी छोटी-मोटी समस्या के समाधान के लिए डाकघर नहीं आना पड़ेगा। डाक विभाग ने इण्टर एक्टिव वॉइस रेस्पान्स (आईवीआर) टोल फ्री नम्बर 18002666868 जारी किया है, जिस पर खाताधारक अपने रजिस्टर्ड मोबाइल नंबर से कॉल करके लाभ उठा सकते हैं। यह टोल फ्री नम्बर हिन्दी और अंग्रेजी भाषा में शुरू किया गया है। उक्त जानकारी वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने दी।
पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि डाक विभाग की इस टोल फ्री सुविधा के माध्यम से खाताधारक अपने सभी प्रकार के खातों के अकाउंट बैलेंस की जानकारी प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। एसबी, पीपीएफ और सुकन्या खाते के बारे में अंतिम 4 लेनदेन की जानकारी, किसी विशिष्ट लेनदेन की जानकारी, खातों में अर्जित ब्याज और टैक्स कटौती की जानकारी ले सकते हैं। इसके अलावा खातों में जारी चेक की स्थिति और इसके भुगतान को रोकने हेतु अनुरोध भी किया जा सकता है। नया एटीएम कार्ड लेने, पिन में परिवर्तन और एटीएम कार्ड ब्लॉक करने की सुविधा भी इस टोल फ्री नंबर के माध्यम से उपलब्ध कराई जा रही है।
श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा कि वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के डाकघरों में 31 लाख से ज्यादा खाते संचालित हैं, अतः ऐसे खाताधारक जिन्होंने अपने खाते को मोबाइल नंबर से लिंक नहीं कराया है, उन्हें तत्काल डाकघर जाकर इसे लिंक करवा लेना चाहिए ताकि वे भी इन सुविधाओं का लाभ उठा सकें। डाक विभाग की तमाम बचत योजनाओं के बारे में भी इस टोल फ्री नंबर पर कॉल करके जानकारी प्राप्त की जा सकती है। इस सुविधा का सर्वाधिक लाभ सीनियर सिटीजन, महिलाएं, सुदूर क्षेत्रों में रहने वाले उन तमाम लोगों को मिलेगा जो डाकघर में व्यक्तिगत रूप से उपस्थित नहीं हो सकते। यही नहीं, खाताधारकों को बैलेंस की जानकारी होने के कारण खातों में किसी प्रकार की गड़बड़ी की सम्भावना से भी बचा जा सकता है।

Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that through this toll free facility of the Department of Posts, account holders can get the account balance information of all types of accounts. Customers can get details of last 4 transactions, details of any specific transaction, interest earned and paid or tax deducted in accounts for SB, PPF and Sukanya Samriddhi Scheme accounts. Apart from this, the status of cheque issued in the accounts and request to stop payment of cheque can also be made. The facility to get a new ATM card, PIN change and blocking of ATM card is also being made available through this IVR toll free number.
Postmaster General Mr. Yadav told that their are more than 31 Lac Accounts in Post Offices of Varanasi Region. Such account holders who have not linked their account with mobile number, they should immediately go to the Post Office and get it linked so that they too can avail these facilities.
