Rich Tradition of Philately showcased in Allahabad Philatelic Exhibition- Allaphilex-2015 : Sangam and Allahabad Head Post Office on Special Cover now

Allahabad Philatelic Exhibition “Allaphilex-2015” was inaugurated on 09th January, 2015 at Gandhi Art Gallery of North Central Zone Cultural Centre, Allahabad. The exhibition was inaugurated by retired Member, Postal Services Board, New Delhi and famous critic Padam Shri Shamshurrahman Farooqui, accompanied by Director Postal Services, Allahabad Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav and Postmaster General, Allahabad Region Mr. S. F. Rizvi by lighting lamp and cutting ribbon. On this occasion special covers were issued on Ganga-Yamuna-Saraswati Sangam and Allahabad Head Post Office. These special covers were cancelled by using special pictorial cancellations. 

In this exhibition the Philatelists of the city showcased various types of Postage Stamps. Thousands of Stamps were displayed in 60 frames, which includes a wide range of colorful collection of stamps, issued on Allahabad, 100 years of cinema in Postage Stamps, Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Ravindranath Tagore, Nehru family, Indian Freedom Struggle, Stamps issued on Mosques, Bio Diversity, Rotary, Fire Brigade, Red Cross, and also included AIDS, Maleria etc. issued to spread awareness about these diseases. It included not only stamps issued in India but also included rare postage stamps and postage stationary issued in Foreign Countries.  Other than senior Philatelists of the city, students and children also exhibited their postage stamps collection. It is worthwhile to mention here that such type of exhibition is being organized after 2 years. Earlier Postage stamp exhibition was organized in 2013.

Addressing the programme held after the inauguration of the exhibition Chief Guest Padam Shri Shamshurrahman Farooqui said that postage stamps and letters have deep relations with emotions. He shared various memoirs related with letters and literature world and said that trend of letters will stay forever. Writing letters with ones own hand and sending them after affixing stamps have its own pleasure, which can never be achieved through phone, mail or social media. Letters and Postage Stamps never get old, in spite their value increases. This is the reason that handwritten letters and postage stamps are auctioned millions.

Mr. S. F. Rizvi, Postmaster General said that the need of the hour is to take Philately between the youngsters and children of the country. He also urged the people present in the programme to ensure their active participation in this cause.The much awaited “My Stamps” scheme of the Postal Department was also launched in this programme. There was a lot of enthusiasm among youngsters for this scheme. 

Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director Postal Services, Allahabad Region told that generally Postage Stamps may look like a small piece of paper but there value and importance is much more. In fact Postage Stamp is a tiny ambassador, which travels across countries and teaches them about his country’s civilization, culture and heritage. It is an icon of a country’s people, their belief and philosophy, history, culture, heritage, ambitions and expectations. It is filled with enchanting vitality.  Director Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, discussing the 100 years centenary of Mahatma Gandhi's return to India, said that in ALLAPHILEX-2015 a number of stamps issued across the world have been showcased to emphasize the relevance of Gandhi on International stage.  He told that almost all countries of the world have issued postage stamps on Gandhi, and in India the maximum number of stamps have been issue on him. He said that the advanced idea in Philately today is detailed study of Postage Stamps, their meaningful review and conclusions derived from such studies should be explained with regard to the social-cultural- political context of the contemporary world. 

Mr.Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director Postal Services presented postage stamps with the photo of  Padam Shri Shamshurrahman Farooqui to him, after which Mr. Farooqui urged the people present in the programme to be benefited from these service. While Children enjoyed Philatelic Exhibition, Philatelic Deposit Accounts were also opened. 

Mr. Rahmatullah, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Allahabad welcomed the guests and vote of thanks was given by Mr. M. P. Mishra, Assistant Director. Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Mr. A. K. Singh. On this occasion Philatelists, children from various schools, their parents, teachers and a number of Postal Officers including, Mr. R. N. Yadav, Senior Postmaster; Shri T. B. Singh, Assistant Director, Jury members Mr. Anil Rastogi and Mr. Dinesh Chandra Sharma, Dr. Manishi Bansal were also present. 

इलाहाबाद डाक टिकट प्रदर्शनी ”इलाफिलेक्स-2015” में दिखी डाक-टिकटों की समृद्ध परंपरा : ’संगम’ और ’प्रधान डाकघर इलाहाबाद’ पर जारी हुआ विशेष आवरण

डाक विभाग द्वारा दो दिवसीय ’’इलाहाबाद डाक टिकट प्रदर्शनी’’ इलाफिलेक्स-2015 का उद्घाटन 9 जनवरी 2015 को उत्तर मध्य क्षेत्र सांस्कृतिक केन्द्र के महात्मा गाँधी कला वीथिका में किया गया। प्रदर्शनी का उद्घाटन द्वीप प्रज्वलित कर और फीता काटकर, डाक सेवा बोर्ड, नई दिल्ली के पूर्व सदस्य एवं चर्चित समालोचक पद्मश्री शम्शुर्रह्मान फारूकी द्वारा पोस्टमास्टर  जनरल  कर्नल  एस एफ रिजवी और निदेशक डाक सेवाएँ श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव  के संग किया गया। इस अवसर पर गंगा-यमुना-सरस्वती संगम एवं प्रधान डाकघर इलाहाबाद पर विशेष आवरण का विमोचन किया गया। इन विशेष आवरणों को विशेष चित्रात्मक मुहरों से कैंसिल किया गया। 

 इस प्रदर्शनी में शहर के फिलेटलिस्टों द्वारा तमाम डाक टिकटों की प्रदर्शनी लगायी गयी। कुल 60 फ्रेमों में हजारों की संख्या में डाक-टिकट प्रदर्शित किए गये। इनमें इलाहाबाद से संबंधित विषयों पर जारी डाक-टिकट, डाक-टिकटों  में  सिनेमा, राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गाँधी, रविंद्रनाथ टैगोर, नेहरु परिवार पर जारी डाक टिकट, भारतीय स्वतंत्रता संग्राम पर  जारी डाक टिकट, जैन धर्म विषयक डाक टिकट, मस्जिदों पर जारी डाक-टिकट से लेकर से लेकर जैव विविधता, रोटरी,  रेड क्रास और  एड्स, मलेरिया इत्यादि के विरूद्ध जागरूक करते तमाम रंग-बिरंगे डाक-टिकट प्रदर्शित किये गये। इनमें सिर्फ भारत ही नहीं बल्कि विदेशों द्वारा जारी दुर्लभ डाक-टिकट व डाक-स्टेशनरी भी शामिल थे।  प्रदर्शनी में वरिष्ठ फिलेटलिस्टों के अलावा तमाम बच्चों ने भी अपने डाक-टिकटों का प्रदर्शन किया। गौरतलब है कि इलाहाबाद में 2 वर्ष बाद इस तरह की प्रदर्शनी का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। इससे पूर्व वर्ष 2013 में डाक टिकट प्रदर्शनी आयोजित हुयी थी। 

प्रदर्शनी के उद्घाटन पश्चात् आयोजित कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए मुख्य अतिथि पद्मश्री शम्शुर्रहमान फारूकी ने कहा कि डाक टिकटों और चिटिठ्यों का संवदेना से गहरा रिश्ता है। उन्होंने साहित्य जगत और चिटिठ्यों से जुड़े हुए तमाम संस्मरण सुनाते हुए कहा कि चिट्ठियांँ कभी भी खत्म नहीं होंगी। हाथ से लिखने और फिर उस पर डाक टिकट लगाकर भेजने में जो सुख है वह फोन, मेल और सोशल मीडिया में नहीं। डाक टिकट और पत्र कभी भी पुराने नहीं होते, बल्कि उनकी कीमत दिनों-ब-दिन बढ़ती जाती है, यही कारण है कि आज भी हाथों से लिखे खत और डाक टिकटों की लाखों-करोड़ों में नीलामी होती है। 

अपने अध्यक्षीय उद्बोधन  में पोस्टमास्टर जनरल कर्नल  एस. एफ. रिजवी ने कहा कि डाक टिकट संग्रह के शौक को आज के दौर में देश के युवावर्ग एवं बच्चों तक ले जाने की जरूरत है। इस दौरान उन्होंने उपस्थित सभी लोगों से इस कार्य में सक्रिय सहभागिता का भी आह्वान किया। माई स्टैम्प सेवा के बारे में विस्तार से बताते हुए उन्होंने इससे लोगों को जोड़ने की अपील की। 

इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र के निदेशक डाक सेवायें कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा कि डाक टिकट एक छोटा सा कागज का टुकड़ा दिखता है, पर इसका महत्व और कीमत दोनों ही इससे काफी ज्यादा है। डाक टिकट वास्तव में एक नन्हा राजदूत है, जो विभिन्न देशों का भ्रमण करता है एवम् उन्हें अपनी सभ्यता, संस्कृति और विरासत से अवगत कराता है। श्री यादव ने महात्मा गाँधी के भारत लौटने की 100वीं वर्षगाँंठ की चर्चा करते हुए कहा कि इलाफिलेक्स-2015 में गाँधी से जुड़े तमाम डाक टिकटों को स्थान देकर वैश्विक स्तर पर उनकी प्रासंगिकता को पुनः रेखांकित किया गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि दुनिया में प्रायः हर देश ने गाँधीजी पर डाक टिकट जारी किये हैं और भारत में डाक टिकटों पर सर्वाधिक बार अंकित होने का श्रेय भी महात्मा गाँधी को ही है। उन्होंने कहा कि आज की फिलेटली की उन्नत अवधारणा भी यही है कि  डाक टिकटों का विधिवत अध्ययन हो, इनकी सार्थक समीक्षा हो एवं इनके विश्लेषण से प्राप्त निष्कर्षों का इनके समसामयिक विश्व के सामाजिक-सांस्कृतिक-राजनैतिक परिदृश्य में प्रासंगिक व्याख्या हो। 

इस अवसर पर डाक विभाग की बहुप्रतीक्षित माई स्टैम्प सेवा का भी शुभांरभ किया गया। युवाओं में इसके तहत काफी उत्साह देखा गया। पद्मश्री शम्शुर्रह्मान फारूकी को निदेशक डाक सेवाएं श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने उनके फोटो वाली डाक टिकट भेंट की, जिस पर श्री फारूकी ने उपस्थित लोगों से अधिकाधिक इस सेवा का लाभ उठाने का आह्वान किया। पोस्टमास्टर जनरल कर्नल  एस. एफ. रिजवी ने श्री फारूकी को स्मृति चिन्ह प्रदान कर सम्मानित किया। इस अवसर पर बच्चों हेतु ’पत्र लेखन’ व ’डिजाइन ए स्टैम्प’ प्रतियोगिता का भी आयोजन किया गया। बच्चों ने जहाँ डाक टिकट प्रदर्शनी का आनंद लिया, वहीं फिलेटलिक डिपाजिट एकाउण्ट भी खोले गये।

कार्यक्रम में अतिथियों का स्वागत प्रवर डाक अधीक्षक श्री रहमतुल्लाह एवं आभार ज्ञापन सहायक निदेशक श्री मधुसूदन मिश्र  ने किया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन श्री ए.के. सिंह ने किया। इस अवसर पर सीनियर पोस्टमास्टर आर.एन.यादव, सहायक निदेशक टीबी सिंह, ज्यूरी सदस्य श्री अनिल रस्तोगी व श्री दिनेश चंद्र शर्मा, डाॅ मनीषी बंसल सहित डाक विभाग के तमाम अधिकारी-कर्मचारी, फिलेटिलिस्ट एवं विभिन्न स्कूलों से आये बच्चे व उनके अभिभावक व अध्यापक इत्यादि उपस्थित रहें।  

प्रधान डाकघर, इलाहाबाद पर जारी विशेष आवरण । 9 जनवरी, 2015 को जारी इस विशेष आवरण पर ब्रिटिश काल के दौरान निर्मित प्रधान डाकघर की पुरानी बिल्डिंग प्रदर्शित है, जिस के शीर्ष पर ब्रिटिश शासन का प्रतीक रॉयल कोट ऑफ आर्म्स  अंकित है।  फ़िलहाल इसे फिलेटलिक ब्यूरो में संरक्षित करके प्रदर्शित किया गया है। इस पर विरूपण रूप में प्रधान डाकघर, इलाहाबाद में ही स्थित 1872 में निर्मित हेक्साजोनल पेनफोल्ड पिलर लेटर बॉक्स का चित्र अंकित किया गया है। 

अब संगम भी दिखेगा विशेष लिफाफे पर :इलाहबाद में गंगा-यमुना-अदृश्य सरस्वती के संगम की महिमा अपरम्पार है। ”इलाफिलेक्स-2015” के दौरान 9 जनवरी, 2015 को इस पर भी विशेष आवरण और विरूपण जारी किया गया। 

Now get your photograph on Postal Stamp in Allahabad during ALLAPHILEX-2015

You have seen, photos of Gandhi, Nehru or any other famous personalities on postal stamps up to, but now there can be your photograph too on postal stamps. Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director, Postal Services, Allahabad Region told that ‘My Stamp’ service of Dept. of Posts, which will be available in Allahabad on 9 & 10 January during Allahabad Philatelic Exhibition (ALLAPHILEX-2015) at the Art Gallery of North Central Zone Cultural Centre, Allahabad, where people can enjoy the beauty of it.

Mr. Krishna Kr. Yadav, Director Postal Services, told that to avail facility of  my stamp service one have to fill a form and submit it with his/her photographs alongwith Rs. 300/- only. In one sheet there can be 12 photographs alongwith postal stamps. For this customers can give their photograph to Postal Dept which will scan and then make it a beautiful postal stamp. If some one wants to spot clicking, this facility is also available. A five rupees postage stamps, having customers photographs can be sent anywhere in the country. This facility is available only for living person. 

Briefing about exhibition Mr. Yadav said that the Postal Department will organize this exhibition at the Art Gallery of North Central Zone Cultural Centre, Allahabad and a number of valuable stamps from around the world will be exhibited. Philatelists of Allahabad and from across the country will participate in the exhibition to showcase their collection of Postage Stamps and other Philatelic materials. Director Postal Services, Mr. Yadav said that while the people will be able to get acquainted with the story behind various stamps, youth will be promoted to develop their interest in Philately. During the exhibition Philatelic Workshops, Letter writing, Stamp Design and Quiz competitions will also be organized to attract youth and School Children.

'माई स्टैम्प' से दें अपनों को सरप्राइज

डाक टिकट पर अभी तक आपने गांँधी, नेहरू या ऐसे ही किसी महान विभूति की फोटो देखी होगी। पर अब डाक टिकट पर आप की फोटो भी हो सकती है और ऐसा संभव होगा ’’माई स्टैम्प’’ सेवा के तहत। इस संबंध में इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र के निदेशक डाक सेवाएँ कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि डाक विभाग द्वारा 9 व 10 जनवरी को उत्तर मध्य क्षेत्र सांस्कृतिक केन्द्र, इलाहाबाद में आयोजित दो दिवसीय डाक टिकट प्रदर्शनी इलाफिलेक्स-2015 में माई स्टैम्प की सुविधा दी जायेगी, ताकि प्रयागवासी डाक टिकटों पर अपनी फोटो देखने का सुखद अहसास प्राप्त कर सके। 

डाक निदेशक श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि माई स्टैम्प सेवा का लाभ उठाने के लिए एक फार्म भरकर उसके साथ अपनी फोटो और रूपय 300/-जमा करने होते हैं। एक शीट में कुल 12 डाक-टिकटों के साथ फोटो लगाई जा सकती है। इसके लिए आप अपनी अच्छी तस्वीर डाक विभाग को दे सकते हैं, जो उसे स्कैन करके आपकी खूबसूरत डाक-टिकट बना देगा। श्री यादव ने कहा कि यदि कोई तत्काल भी फोटो खिंचवाना चाहे तो उसके लिए भी प्रबंध किया गया है। पाँंच रुपए के डाक-टिकट, जिस पर आपकी तस्वीर होगी, वह देशभर में कहीं भी भेजी जा सकती है। इस पर सिर्फ जीवित व्यक्तियों की ही तस्वीर लगाई जा सकती है। 

इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र के निदेशक डाक सेवाएं श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि डाक विभाग द्वारा उत्तर मध्य क्षेत्र सांस्कृतिक केन्द्र में स्थित कला वीथिका में आयोजित होने वाली उक्त प्रदर्शनी में देश-विदेश के तमाम बहुमूल्य डाक टिकट प्रदर्शित किये जाएंगे। इसमें सिर्फ इलाहबाद ही नहीं बल्कि बाहर के भी फिलेटलिस्ट अपने डाक-टिकटों व अन्य फिलेटलिक सामग्रियों की प्रदर्शनी लगाएंगे। डाक निदेशक श्री यादव ने बताया कि इस प्रदर्शनी के माध्यम से लोग जहां तमाम डाक टिकटों के पीछे छिपी कहानी से अपने को जोड़ सकेंगे वहीं युवाओं में डाक टिकट संग्रह के प्रति अभिरुचि भी विकसित की जाएगी। प्रदर्शनी के दौरान स्कूली बच्चों हेतु फिलेटलिक वर्कशाप, पत्र-लेखन, स्टैम्प डिजाइन एवं क्विज जैसी तमाम आर्कषक प्रतियोगिताओं का भी आयोजन किया जायेगा।

Postage Stamps are not only the means to send letters, but we can also enrich our knowledge about Literature, Art, Culture, Environment and Famous personalities. Keeping this in mind Postal Department is going to organize a two days Philatelic Exhibition “Allaphilex-2015” from 9-10 January, 2015.

Briefing about this Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director, Postal Services, Allahabad Region said that the Postal Department will organize this exhibition at the Art Gallery of North Central Zone Cultural Centre, Allahabad and a number of valuable stamps from around the world will be exhibited. Philatelists of Allahabad and from across the country will participate in the exhibition to showcase their collection of Postage Stamps and other Philatelic materials. Director Postal Services, Mr. Yadav said that while the people will be able to get acquainted with the story behind various stamps, youth will be promoted to develop their interest in Philately. 

During the exhibition stamps will be showcased in about 80 frames. In the exhibition there will be segments of Invitee and Competition for Senior and Junior. During the exhibition Philatelic Workshops, Letter writing, Stamp Design and Quiz competitions will be organized to attract youth and School Children, said Mr. Yadav. 

All eight Head Post Offices of Allahabad Region migrated to CBS platform

All eight Head Post Offices of Allahabad Region have been brought under CBS platform and now all important Sub Post Offices will be also brought under it. This was said by Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director Postal Services, Allahabad Region after he inaugurated Core banking service  at Handia Post Office in Allahabad on 05th January, 2015. On this occasion, he announced launch of Core banking services at Handia  Post Office by cutting ribbon and lighting lamp. 

In his inaugural address Director Postal Services, Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that under Core banking, as a part of any time anywhere banking, online banking, mobile banking and net banking facilities and ATM facilities etc. will be provided to customers, in a systematic manner. With the launch of this facility more than 1 lac account holders of Handia Post Office will be benefitted. Total deposits at Handia Post Office amounts more than rupees 89.50 Crore. Under CBS work will be now done on Finacle software in place of Sanchay Post, and this office will be now linked to central server. Mr. Yadav further said that Handia Post Offices is one of the few Post Offices where ATM facility will be provided shortly.  Now new 10 digit account numbers will be allotted to all accounts and customers will get the facility of computerized passbook. 

Director Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav told that all eight Head Post Offices of Allahabad Region have been now brought under CBS platform, now all important Sub Post Offices will be also brought under it. He further said that currently 26 Post Offices of Allahabad Region are now working on CBS platform including Handia Post Office and a total of 238 Post offices in Uttar Pradesh have started functioning on CBS platform.

Senior Supdt. of Post Offices, Allahabad Division  Mr. Rahmatullah said that after launch of CBS office has been now linked to other Post Offices of the country. After launch of CBS, Saving Agents can make deposit from their home using the agent portal, after showing the code provided at the portal money will be deposited in the accounts by Post office. Not only this, now commission of the agents will be directly credited to their Post Office Saving Bank Account. 

On this occasion Sub Dn. Inspector of Handia Mr. Deepak Kumar, Mr. Brijesh Sharma, Sub Post Master, Mr. R. B. Singh, Alok Ranjan, Balram Singh Yadav, Vivek Kumar Mishra, Mr. Prashant Singh and a number of officers, employees, customers and Saving Scheme agents were present.

इलाहाबाद के हंडिया डाकघर में कोर बैंकिंग सेवा का निदेशक डाक सेवाएं कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने किया उद्घाटन

इलाहाबाद के हंडिया उपडाकघर में कोर बैकिंग सोल्यूशन (सीबीएस) सेवा का उदघाटन 5 जनवरी 2015 को इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र के निदेशक डाक सेवाएं, श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव द्वारा किया गया। इस अवसर पर फीता काटकर एवं दीप प्रज्जवलित कर हंडिया उपडाकघर के सीबीएस से जुड़ने का उन्होंने शुभारंभ किया। 

उदघाटन करते हुए इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र के निदेशक डाक सेवाएं श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा कि सीबीएस से जुड़ने के बाद एनीव्हेयर एनीटाइम बैंकिंग के तहत क्रमबद्ध रूप में धीरे-धीरे ग्राहकों को आन लाइन बैंकिंग, मोबाइल बैंकिंग, नेट बैंकिंग और एटीएम इत्यादि का लाभ मिल सकेगा। इसके तहत यह अब संचय पोस्ट के बजाय फिनैकल साफ्टवेयर पर काम होगा और सेन्ट्रल सर्वर से डाकघर सीधे जुड़ जायेगा, जिससे आॅनलाइन लेन-देन में सहूलियत होगी। अब सभी खाते 10 नंबरों के हो जायेंगे और सभी ग्राहकों को कम्प्यूटराइज्ड पासबुक मिलेगी। निदेशक श्री यादव ने कहा कि हंडिया डाकघर में कुल 1 लाख से  ज्यादा खाताधारक हैं और यहाँ खाताधारकों  की कुल जमा राशि  89 करोड़ रूपये से भी ज्यादा है, जो कि सीबीएस से लाभान्वित होंगे। निदेशक श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा कि हंडिया उपडाकघर में एटीएम सुविधा भी उपलब्ध करायी जायेगी।

डाक निदेशक श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र के सभी 8 प्रधान डाकघर कोर बैंकिंग से जुड़ चुके हैं और अब महत्वपूर्ण उपडाकघरों को इससे जोड़ा जा रहा है। श्री यादव ने बताया कि वर्तमान में इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र में हंडिया डाकघर को लेकर कुल 26 डाकघर सीबीएस के तहत कार्य करना आरंभ कर चुके हैं, वहीं पूरे उत्तर प्रदेश में 238 डाकघर सीबीएस से जोड़े जा चुके हैं।

इस अवसर पर प्रवर डाक अधीक्षक, इलाहाबाद मंडल श्री रहमतउल्ला ने कहा कि हंडिया उपडाकघर के सीबीएस से जुड़ने पर यह देश के अन्य सीबीएस डाकघरों से जुड़ गया है। सीबीएस से जुड़ने के बाद अब बचत अभिकर्ताओं को भी सहूलियत होगी और वे पोर्टल पर जाकर घर बैठे लोगों का पैसा जमा कर सकेंगे और तद्नुसार उत्पन्न कोड डाकघर आकर बताने पर, वह लिंक हो जायेगा। यही नहीं अब अभिकर्ताओं का कमीशन उनके डाकघर बचत खाता में सीधे जायेगा।

Children write letters on ‘Tell us about the world you want to grow up in’ : 44th UPU letter writing competition organized in Allahabad

Every child has his thoughts about his society. Someone wishes to have an educated and clean country, while others wish to have a country free of corruption and filled with social harmony. Abolition of child labor and prevention of crimes against Women, it’s all there in the young minds of today’s youth and they wish to do something about it. While on one hand the youth wishes to have a hi-tech world on the other they are also conscious about the environment. Many ideas like these were expressed by children who participated, in the 44th UPU letter writing competition organized by the Department of Posts on 4th January at Allahabad Head Post Office, whose theme was "Tell us about the world you want to grow up in."

On the occasion Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director Postal Services, Allahabad Region said that to promote letter writing, Universal Postal Union organizes letter writing competition at International Level every year for School children up to the age of 15 years. Participants from Allahabad, Varanasi, Jaunpur and Ghazipur districts participated in this competition. Participants have to write the letter in 800 words in English or any other language listed in Schedule Eight of Constitution.

Director Postal Services, Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that Letter writing is a kind of contemplation, which gives stability to the mind. Letters have a deep relationship with emotions.  Reading letters is equally important as writing letters. Purpose of writing letters is not limited only to giving information but it also contains a sense of mystery or secrecy, collectability, art of writing and a notion to understand the past. Mr. Yadav added that Letter writing is also a serious form of literature. With elaborate words a number of untold feelings find place in letters. 

Director Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav told that these letters will be evaluated in Lucknow at Circle level and three best letters will be sent to Postal Directorate, New Delhi for inclusion at National Level. Three best participants at National level will be awarded first, second and third prizes with a cash reward of Rs. 5,000, 3,000 and 2,000. While one best entry from each Circle will also be awarded with a cash reward of Rs. 1000 as consolation prize. The best entry at the National level shall qualify as the official Indian entry for this International level competition. 

On this occasion a number of Postal officers, parents of the participating children, their teachers and Postal officers including Mr. Rahmatullah, Sr. Supdt. Of Post Offices Allahabad Division; Mr. R. N. Yadav, Senior Post Master, Allahabad, Mr. R. P. Srivastava were present.

इलाहाबाद में हुयी 44वीं यूनिवर्सल पोस्टल यूनियन पत्र लेखन प्रतियोगिता

संसार के प्रति हर बच्चे की अपनी सोच होती है। किसी के लिए शिक्षित व स्वच्छ भारत प्राथमिकता है तो कोई भ्रष्टाचार मुक्त एवं सामाजिक सौहार्द से भरपूर संसार की कल्पना करता हैै। बाल श्रम उन्मूलन से लेकर बालिकाओं के प्रति हो रहे अत्याचार को रोकने तक की कल्पना आज का युवा करता है। एक तरह वह हाईटेक संसार की आशा रखता है वहीं वह पर्यावरण के प्रति भी सचेत है। ऐसे ही कई विचार उन बच्चों ने पन्नों पर उकेरे, जिन्होंने डाक विभाग द्वारा 4 जनवरी, 2015  को प्रधान डाकघर, इलाहाबाद  में आयोजित  44वीं यूपीयू पत्र लेखन प्रतियोगिता में भाग लिया, जिसका विषय था ”उस संसार के बारे में हमें बताइये, जिसमें आप विकसित होना चाहते हैं।’’  

इस अवसर पर इलाहाबाद परिक्षेत्र के निदेशक डाक सेवाएं श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि विश्व डाक संघ द्वारा प्रतिवर्ष पत्र लेखन विधा को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर 15 वर्ष तक के बच्चों के लिए पत्र लेखन प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया जाता है। इसी क्रम में  इलाहाबाद में आयोजित प्रतियोगिता में इलाहाबाद, वाराणसी, जौनपुर व गाजीपुर जनपदों के प्रतियोगी शामिल हुए। पत्र अंग्रेजी या संविधान की आठवीं सूची में निर्दिष्ट किसी भी भाषा में 800 शब्दों की सीमा में लिखना था।

निदेशक डाक सेवाएं श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा कि दरअसल पत्र लेखन एक प्रकार का चिंतन है, जो मस्तिष्क को स्थिरता देता है। पत्रों का संवेदनाओं से गहरा रिश्ता है। पत्र लिखना जितना मायने रखता है, उतना ही उसे पढ़ना भी। पत्रों का काम मात्र सूचना देना ही नहीं बल्कि इनमें एक अजीब रहस्य या गोपनीयता, संग्रहणीयता, लेखन कला एवं अतीत को जानने का भाव भी छुपा होता है। श्री यादव ने कहा कि पत्र-लेखन साहित्य की एक गंभीर विधा भी है। शब्दों के विस्तार के साथ बहुत सी अनकही भावनाएं मानो चिट्ठियों में सिमटती जाती हैं। 

निदेशक श्री यादव ने बताया कि पत्र लेखन प्रतियोगिता का मूल्यांकन परिमण्डलीय स्तर पर लखनऊ में किया जायेगा तथा श्रेष्ठ तीन पत्र लेखन को राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर सम्मिलित करने हेतु डाक निदेशालय, नई दिल्ली भेजा जायेगा। राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर श्रेष्ठ तीन प्रतियोगियों को क्रमशः रू0 5000, रू0 3000 व रू0 2000 का प्रथम, द्वितीय व तृतीय पुरस्कार प्रमाणपत्र सहित दिया जायेगा। इसके अलावा प्रत्येक परिमण्डल की सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रविष्टि को 1000 रूपये का सांत्वना  पुरस्कार व प्रमाण पत्र दिया जायेगा। राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर सर्वोत्तम प्रविष्टि को यूनिवर्सल पोस्टल यूनियन के पास आधिकारिक प्रविष्टि के रूप में भेजा जायेगा। 

इस अवसर पर इलाहाबाद मंडल के वरिष्ठ डाक अधीक्षक श्री रहमतुल्लाह, प्रधान डाकघर के सीनियर पोस्टमास्टर श्री आर. एन. यादव, कार्यालय अधीक्षक श्री आर. पी. श्रीवास्तव सहित डाक अधिकारी-कर्मचारी, भागीदारी कर रहे बच्चों के अभिभावक, शिक्षक और विद्यार्थी उपस्थित रहे।
