All eight Head Post Offices of Allahabad Region migrated to CBS platform

All eight Head Post Offices of Allahabad Region have been brought under CBS platform and now all important Sub Post Offices will be also brought under it. This was said by Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director Postal Services, Allahabad Region after he inaugurated Core banking service  at Handia Post Office in Allahabad on 05th January, 2015. On this occasion, he announced launch of Core banking services at Handia  Post Office by cutting ribbon and lighting lamp. 

In his inaugural address Director Postal Services, Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that under Core banking, as a part of any time anywhere banking, online banking, mobile banking and net banking facilities and ATM facilities etc. will be provided to customers, in a systematic manner. With the launch of this facility more than 1 lac account holders of Handia Post Office will be benefitted. Total deposits at Handia Post Office amounts more than rupees 89.50 Crore. Under CBS work will be now done on Finacle software in place of Sanchay Post, and this office will be now linked to central server. Mr. Yadav further said that Handia Post Offices is one of the few Post Offices where ATM facility will be provided shortly.  Now new 10 digit account numbers will be allotted to all accounts and customers will get the facility of computerized passbook. 

Director Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav told that all eight Head Post Offices of Allahabad Region have been now brought under CBS platform, now all important Sub Post Offices will be also brought under it. He further said that currently 26 Post Offices of Allahabad Region are now working on CBS platform including Handia Post Office and a total of 238 Post offices in Uttar Pradesh have started functioning on CBS platform.

Senior Supdt. of Post Offices, Allahabad Division  Mr. Rahmatullah said that after launch of CBS office has been now linked to other Post Offices of the country. After launch of CBS, Saving Agents can make deposit from their home using the agent portal, after showing the code provided at the portal money will be deposited in the accounts by Post office. Not only this, now commission of the agents will be directly credited to their Post Office Saving Bank Account. 

On this occasion Sub Dn. Inspector of Handia Mr. Deepak Kumar, Mr. Brijesh Sharma, Sub Post Master, Mr. R. B. Singh, Alok Ranjan, Balram Singh Yadav, Vivek Kumar Mishra, Mr. Prashant Singh and a number of officers, employees, customers and Saving Scheme agents were present.
