Now, speed post ashes to temple towns for post death rituals

Many people lost their loved ones during the Corona pandemic, but could not perform their last rites properly. There is a tradition of Asthi Visarjan (immersion of ashes)  in the holy Ganges river and people bring peace to the dead souls by performing Asthi Visarjan and Shradha rituals in Varanasi, Prayagraj, Haridwar and Gaya. Now the ashes can be sent from post offices to these places through speed post, where Asthi Visarjan and Shradha rituals will be done by Om Divya Darshan (ODD), a socio-religious plateform. The above information was given by Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Postmaster General of Varanasi Region.

Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that, to avail this facility, the desired person will have to register himself on the portal of Om Divya Darshan  http://omdivyadarshan.org .  After having registered for Asthi visarjan or Shradha ceremony on the ODD portal,the packet of Asthis can be sent by the said person through the post office by speed post to Varanasi, Prayagraj, Haridwar and Gaya.  The Asthi packet should be packed properly and 'Om Divya Darshan' should be inscribed on it in bold letters, so that it can be distinguished.  The sender will write his full name, address, mobile number etc. on the packet.  The speed post charges will be borne by the sender only. 

 After booking the Speed Post, the sender has to update the booking details including Speed Post bar code number on the portal of Om Divya Darshan Sanstha.  Once the packet is received at the post office, it will be delivered to Om Divya Darshan's address.  After that, Om Divya Darshan Sanstha, through the empaneled pandits, shall perform the Shradha ceremony on the pre-decided date and time slot. Which would be live webcast to the family members of the deceased. Thereafter a bottle of Ganga water will be booked by ODD and delivered to the  family members of the deceased through speed post from Parliament street Post Office, New Delhi, said Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav.

कोरोना संक्रमण के दौर में तमाम लोगों ने अपने प्रियजनों को खो दिया, पर विधिवत उनका अंतिम संस्कार नहीं कर पाए। हिन्दू धर्म में पवित्र गंगा नदी में अस्थि विसर्जन की परम्परा है और लोग वाराणसी, प्रयागराज, हरिद्वार एवं गया में अस्थि विसर्जन और श्राद्ध कर्मकांड करके मृतात्माओं को शांति दिलाते हैं।कोविड महामारी के इस दौर में अब डाक विभाग ने ओम दिव्य दर्शन नामक सामाजिक-धार्मिक संस्था से मिलकर ऐसे लोगों हेतु पहल की है। देश के किसी भी कोने से अब अस्थियाँ डाकघरों से स्पीड पोस्ट के माध्यम से इन जगहों पर भेजी जा सकेंगीं, जिनका विधिवत कर्मकांड ओम दिव्य दर्शन द्वारा संपन्न किया जायेगा। उक्त जानकारी वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने दी।

वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि, इस सुविधा को प्राप्त करने हेतु इच्छित व्यक्ति को ओम दिव्य दर्शन संस्था के पोर्टल http://omdivyadarshan.org/ पर अपना रजिस्ट्रेशन करवाना होगा। रजिस्ट्रेशन के बाद उक्त व्यक्ति द्वारा डाकघर के माध्यम से अस्थियों का पैकेट स्पीड पोस्ट से वाराणसी, प्रयागराज, हरिद्वार एवं गया भेजा जा सकेगा। अस्थि पैकेट को अच्छी तरह से पैक कर इस पर मोटे अक्षरों में 'ओम दिव्य दर्शन' अंकित करना होगा, ताकि इसे अलग से पहचाना जा सके। पैकेट पर  प्रेषक अपना पूर्ण नाम, पता, मोबाइल नंबर इत्यादि लिखेगा। स्पीड पोस्ट का चार्ज प्रेषक द्वारा ही वहन किया जाएगा। 

पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव  ने बताया कि स्पीड पोस्ट बुक करने के बाद प्रेषक को ओम दिव्य दर्शन संस्था के  पोर्टल पर स्पीड पोस्ट बार कोड नंबर सहित बुकिंग डिटेल्स अपडेट करना होगा। डाकघर में पैकेट प्राप्त होने के बाद इसे ओम दिव्य दर्शन के पते पर वितरित कर दिया जायेगा। तत्पश्चात, ओम दिव्य दर्शन संस्था द्वारा इसे पंडितों के माध्यम से इसका विधिवत अस्थि विसर्जन एवं श्राद्ध संस्कार पूर्व निर्धारित समय के अनुसार किया जायेगा, जिसे वेबकास्ट के माध्यम से मृतक के परिवार वाले भी देख सकेंगे। सारे संस्कारों के बाद संस्था द्वारा मृतक के परिवार को डाकघर द्वारा एक बोतल गंगा जल भी भेजा जायेगा।

World Environment Day : Plantation is necessary to save the environment - Postmaster General Krishna Kumar Yadav

Plantation is very important to save the environment. Trees not only purify our environment, but also provide fresh air for life.  The corona pandemic has also warned that playing with the environment is fatal.  In such  situation, to keep the entire earth and nature safe and balanced, we have to make people aware of the environment.  The above words were expressed by the Postmaster General of Varanasi Region, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav while planting saplings in the Varanasi Cantt Head Post Office campus on 'World Environment Day'.  On this occasion, many officials of the Postal Department also gave the message of environmental protection by planting saplings following the covid protocol.

Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that there is a need to reconsider the relationship between human being and environment in the era of corona pandemic.  In Indian tradition, trees are worshiped as God.  If the environment is pure, then the behavior will also be pure.  Trees play an important role in keeping the environment clean and pollution free. It is the responsibility of every person to plant a sapling.

On this occasion, Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav also called upon the postal employees to draw their attention towards the increasing pollution in the environment and the anomalies arising due to it, and also called upon every postal employee to become a partner in their redressal by planting saplings.  Shri Yadav said that in our tradition, one tree is considered equal to ten children, because trees serve us for generations.  He said that by fulfilling the responsibility of planting trees and protecting them, the world can be saved from future destruction.

On this occasion, Superintendent of Post Office Varanasi West Division Sanjay Kumar Verma, Assistant Director Ram Milan, Assistant Superintendent of Posts Ajay Kumar,  Investigation Inspector Shrikant Pal, Postmaster of Cantt Head Post Office Ramashankar Verma, Rajendra Yadav, Shri Prakash Gupta, Rakesh Kumar along with many employees were present.

पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए वृक्षारोपण बेहद जरुरी है। वृक्ष न सिर्फ हमारे पर्यावरण को शुद्ध करते हैं, बल्कि जीवन के लिए उपयोगी प्राणवायु भी उपलब्ध कराते हैं।  कोरोना महामारी ने भी यही चेताया है कि पर्यावरण से खिलवाड़ घातक है। ऐसे में सम्पूर्ण धरा और प्रकृति को सुरक्षित व संतुलित रखने हेतु हमें पर्यावरण के प्रति लोगों को सजग बनाना होगा। उक्त उद्गार वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने 'विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस' पर वाराणसी कैण्ट प्रधान डाकघर कैम्पस में पौधारोपण करते हुए व्यक्त किये। इस अवसर पर डाक विभाग के तमाम अधिकारियों - कर्मचारियों ने भी कोविड प्रोटोकॉल का पालन करते हुए पौधारोपण कर पर्यावरण संरक्षण का संदेश दिया।

पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा कि, कोरोना महामारी के दौर में मनुष्य और पर्यावरण के संबंधों पर पुनर्विचार करने की जरूरत है।  भारतीय परंपरा में पेड़-पौधों को परमात्मा का प्रतीक मान कर उनकी पूजा का विधान बनाया गया  है। पर्यावरण शुद्ध रहेगा तो आचरण भी शुद्ध रहेगा। पर्यावरण को शुद्ध और प्रदूषण मुक्त रखने में वृक्षों का महत्वपूर्ण योगदान है। ऐसे में हर व्यक्ति की यह जिम्मेदारी है कि वह एक पौधा अवश्य लगाए।

पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री  कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने इस अवसर पर डाककर्मियों  से पर्यावरण में बढ़ रहे प्रदूषण और उसके चलते पैदा हो रही विसंगतियों की ओर ध्यान आकर्षित करके हर डाककर्मी से पौधारोपण द्वारा उनके निवारण में भागीदार बनने का भी आह्वान किया। श्री यादव ने कहा कि हमारी परंपरा में एक वृक्ष को दस संतानों के समान माना गया है, क्योंकि वृक्ष पीढ़ियों तक हमारी सेवा करते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि पौधारोपण और उनके रक्षण के  दायित्व का निर्वाह कर सृष्टि को भावी विनाश से बचाया जा सकता है ।  

इस अवसर पर वाराणसी पश्चिमी मंडल के अधीक्षक डाकघर संजय कुमार वर्मा, सहायक निदेशक राम मिलन,  सहायक डाक अधीक्षक अजय कुमार, जाँच निरीक्षक श्रीकांत पाल,  कैण्ट प्रधान डाकघर के पोस्टमास्टर रमाशंकर वर्मा, राजेंद्र यादव, श्री प्रकाश गुप्ता, राकेश कुमार सहित तमाम अधिकारी-कर्मचारी उपस्थित रहे।

In this era of Corona pandemic, it is difficult for people to visit temples. In such situation, the Department of Posts has made an initiative to send the Prasad of major temples by Speed Post. After Prasad of Shree Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Varanasi, now devotees will be able to order the prasad of Shree Somnath Adi Jyotirlinga Temple located in Patan, Gujarat through Speed Post at doorstep. The above information was given by Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Postmaster General, Varanasi Region.

Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that like Shree Kashi Vishwanath Trust, Shree Somnath Trust has also entered into an agreement with the Postal Department to provide doorstep offerings to the devotees during the Corona pandemic. Under this agreement, any devotee can order Prasad through Speed Post by making an e-Money Order of Rs 251 to the Manager, Shree Somnath Trust, Prabhas Patan, District- Junagadh, Gujarat-362268. This e-money order will have to be marked as "Booking for Prasad". After that, a packet of 400 grams of Prasad will be sent by Speed Post to the concerned devotee by Shri Somnath Trust. Prasad will contain  200 grams Magas Laddoo, 100 grams of Sesame Chikki and 100 grams peanut Chikki. This Prasad will be promptly delivered at the doorstep of the devotee through Speed Post said Mr. Yadav.

कोरोना संक्रमण के इस दौर में लोगों के लिए मंदिरों में जाना मुश्किल है। ऐसे में डाक विभाग ने पहल करते हुए तमाम प्रमुख मंदिरों के प्रसाद को स्पीड पोस्ट द्वारा भिजवाने की व्यवस्था की है। श्री काशी विश्वनाथ मंदिर, वाराणसी के बाद अब गुजरात के पाटन में स्थित श्री सोमनाथ आदि ज्योतिर्लिंग मंदिर का प्रसाद भी श्रद्धालु घर बैठे स्पीड पोस्ट से मंगा सकेंगे। उक्त जानकारी वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने दी।

पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि श्री काशी विश्वनाथ मंदिर ट्रस्ट की भाँति श्री सोमनाथ ट्रस्ट ने भी कोरोना महामारी के समय श्रद्धालुओं को घर बैठे प्रसाद उपलब्ध कराने हेतु भारतीय डाक विभाग से एक समझौता किया है। इस समझौते के तहत कोई भी श्रद्धालु मैनेजर, श्री सोमनाथ ट्रस्ट, प्रभास पाटन, जिला- जूनागढ़, गुजरात-362268  को 251 रूपये का ई-मनीऑर्डर कर स्पीड पोस्ट द्वारा प्रसाद मँगा सकता है। इस  ई-मनीऑर्डर पर "प्रसाद के लिए बुकिंग' अंकित करना होगा। तदोपरांत श्री सोमनाथ ट्रस्ट द्वारा द्वारा संबंधित श्रद्धालु को 400 ग्राम का प्रसाद का पैकेट स्पीड पोस्ट द्वारा भेजा जायेगा।  इस प्रसाद में 200 ग्राम बेसन लड्डू, 100 ग्राम तिल की चिक्की और 100 ग्राम मावा की चिक्की रहेगी। यह प्रसाद स्पीड पोस्ट के माध्यम से श्रद्धालु के घर पर शीघ्रता से वितरित किया जायेगा।
