Post offices to sell police recruitment form from 18 July to 20 August in Uttar Pradesh

With the Uttar Pradesh state government announcing to hold recruitment process for vacant seats in the state police department, the postal department is gearing up to manage the logistics.The postal department will make available the application forms at 169 post offices in Uttar Pradesh from July 18 onwards. Sharing details of the exercise with TOI, director, postal services, Allahabad region, Krishna Kumar Yadav said that the application forms would be sold from July 18 to August 20 at 169 post offices in the state out of which 24 are in the Allahabad region.

Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav,  Director Postal Services,  said that two different types of forms will be sold by the Post Offices. First category of application forms will be in khaki colored envelops, which will be distributed free of cost to those candidates who had applied for U. P. Police Recruitment Examination-2011. Whereas the second category of applications which will be made available in white envelope for Rs. 200/- for other candidates. Mr. Yadav said that to obtain free of cost application forms applicants will be required to submit an application and declaration in prescribed proforma regarding their last OMR application form number, which is being pasted on the Notice board of all identified Post Offices. There will be an orange colored OMR Application form and khaki colored return envelope inside the khaki application form to be distributed free of cost, whereas the color of form sold for Rs. 200/- will be white and color of OMR application form will be magenta and color of return envelope will also be white.

            Director Postal Services, Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav added that the counter assistant will provide two acknowledgement receipts date stamped along with the complete set of form, these receipts will be required at the time of submission of forms by the applicant. Completed forms will be submitted only to that office from which the forms were purchased. Under no circumstances, will these forms will be accepted by any office other than the office from which they were purchased. Only one form will be given to a candidate.

            Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director Postal Services, Allahabad Region said that extensive arrangements have been made for sale of forms and separate counters will be established for both types of forms. He said that these forms will be sold at Allahabad Head Post Office, Allahabad Kutchery Post Office, Allahabad City SO, Handia, Karchana in Allahabad District; at Sirathu in Kaushambi district; Pratapgarh HO, Lalganj and Patti in Pratapgarh district; Ghazipur HO, Saidpur, Mohammadabad Yusufpur in Ghazipur District; Jaunpur HO and Mariyahun in Jaunpur District; BHU, Varanasi HO and Varanasi Cantt HO in Varanasi District etc. To ensure proper distribution and security of Police Recruitment forms Police officials have been requested to depute adequate Police force.
