Hindi is not only the language of literature but also of science and innovation - Postmaster General Krishna Kumar Yadav

Hindi is one of the leading languages of the world in terms of creation and expression. Hindi is the second largest spoken language in the world today due to its simplicity, intelligibility and scientificity. Hindi is not only language of literature but also the language of science, communication, information technology and innovation. Hindi is our mother tongue as well as official language, so for its development it is necessary that we give priority to Hindi language in practical activities as well as in official work. The above views were expressed by the Postmaster General of Varanasi Region, Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav while presiding over the closing ceremony of 'Hindi Pakhwada' organized by the Department of Posts at Varanasi on 28th September. The Postmaster General along with Senior BHU Professor and renowned Hindi litterateur Dr. Sadanand Shahi also honoured the winners of various competitions organized during the Hindi Pakhwada.


 Chief guest Professor Sadanand Shahi, said that Hindi played an important role in uniting this vast multilingual nation with full respect for all the provincial languages mentioned in the Constitution. In such a situation, we should feel proud of the use of Hindi language. The simplicity of Hindi language easily attracts everyone towards it. It is such a language, through which every section of the society can easily convey their feelings and thoughts to each other.

Assistant Director (Official Language) Shri Ram Milan informed that many competitions were organized by the Department of Posts during the Hindi Pakhwada from  14th to 28th September, in which all the employees and officers enthusiastically participated and contributed in making Hindi Pakhwada a grand success.

The winners of the program organized during Hindi Pakhwada were also felicitated on the occasion. K. Abhilasha Rajan, Shri Prakash Gupta, Shambhu Kumar in Hindi essay competition, Kumari Ajita, Lalit Kumar, Vijay Kumar in Hindi typing competition, Shambhu Kumar, Manish Kumar, Rahul Kumar in Hindi noting and drafting competition, Shri Prakash Gupta, Mr. Shambhu Prasad Gupta, Shravan Kumar Singh in Hindi letter writing competition, Shambhu Prasad Gupta, Kumari Ajita, Mohd. Naushad in Hindi poetry recitation competition and Prashant Pandey,  Nagendra Kumar in Hindi dictation competition. All the above were awarded first, second and third prize respectively Hindi competitions.

In the program, Senior Superintendent of Post Office, Varanasi East Division Rajan, Superintendent of Post Office, Varanasi West Division Krishna Chandra, Assistant Director (Official Language) Ram Milan, Accounts Officer M.P. Verma, Assistant Superintendent Ajay Kumar, Assistant Accounts Officer Santoshi Rai, Postal Inspector VN Dwivedi, Shrikant Pal, Pramod Kumar, Rajendra Yadav, Ramchandra, Bhupendra, Narendra, Pankaj Kumar along with other departmental employees were present.
