Department of Posts special campaign for Child Enrolment Lite Client (CELC) service through India Post Payments Bank

Now there is no need to worry about Aadhaar enrolment for children up to 5 years old and linking of citizen’s mobile number with their Aadhaar. From the admission of children in school to taking advantage of social security DBT schemes, mobile linked Aadhaar is mandatory. Now the facility of Aadhaar enrolment of children up to 5 years and linking of mobile number of any citizen with Aadhaar can also be availed at door step through Postman and Gramin Dak Sevak of your area. A special campaign will be run massively for this from June 16 to 18 in Uttar Pradesh Circle. Accordingly, Campaign will also be organized  in 6 districts of the Varanasi Region - Varanasi, Bhadohi, Chandauli, Ghazipur, Jaunpur and Ballia, said Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav, Postmaster General, Varanasi Region. This will facilitate the population residing in rural and remote areas. For this people can contact their local postman or can also make online request through the Post Info mobile app.

Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that the Department of Posts is enrolling Aadhaar of children below the age of 5 years free of cost under CELC (Child Enrolment Light Client) service of India Post Payments Bank. Aadhar enrolment of children can be done only with the help of Proof of Relationship (PoR). For this, parents can get their child's Aadhaar registration done with the help of their Aadhaar or any other valid identity card. Similarly, now the task of linking mobile number in Aadhaar through postman can be done easily by paying the prescribed fee of Rs 50 (including tax) at the doorstep.

Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that through CELC, mobile numbers of more than 7 lakh 28 thousand people have been modified in Aadhaar by the postmen in Varanasi region so far. Now, villagers no longer need to come to the city to get their mobile number linked or modified in Aadhaar as this service is being tendered successfully at their doorstep.

Senior Superintendent of Post offices, Varanasi East Division Shri Rajan and Superintendent of Post Offices, Varanasi West Division Shri P.C. Tiwari said that all the postmen and Gramin Dak Sevak have been directed to take the initiative and cater the benefit of this facility to the maximum number of people across the Varanasi division.
