Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on May 16, through video conferencing, handed over 71,000 appointment letters to the newly recruited youths in Government Departments at Rozgar Mela organized in various parts of the country including Varanasi. In this chain, under the auspices of the Department of Posts, Rozgar Mela was inaugurated at the Cinema Club in Bareka, Varanasi by Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister (Heavy Industries) Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey alongwith MLA (South Varanasi City) Dr. Neelkanth Tiwari and Postmaster General, Varanasi Region, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav by lighting the lamp.
Newly-appointed youth candidates attended here from Department of Posts as well as other departments including Indian Railways, CRPF, who were addressed by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi through video conferencing. Cabinet Minister (Heavy Industries) Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey handed over the appointment letters to the selected newly appointed candidates and wished them a happy future. In these, newly appointed candidates selected for various posts like Assistant Communication Officer, Postal Assistant, Branch Postmaster, Assistant Branch Postmaster, Postman, MTS, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Track Maintainer, Helper, House Keeping etc. expressed their happiness by expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister.
At the Rozgar Mela organized in Varanasi, Union Cabinet Minister (Heavy Industries) Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey said that under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is touching new heights every day and the youths are getting employment opportunities with speed and transparency. All the policies of the government have increased the work efficiency of the people. Further, he said that by December 2023, the Vision of the Prime Minister to give government jobs to 10 lakh youths will be completed. Training is also being imparted on the Karmayogi portal for efficiency in the work of the newly appointed employee.
Welcoming the guests, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav, Postmaster General, Varanasi Region, said in his address that due to the visionary thinking and inspiration of the Prime Minister in the Amrit Kaal, the appointment letter received on the occasion of this Rozgar Mela is not only a paper or document but also a golden opportunity to take a pledge to serve the country throughout life. People have many hopes from the youth as the future of the country.
Addressing the newly appointed youth on this occasion through video conferencing, the Prime Minister said, "You all have achieved this success through hard work. I extend my hearty congratulations and best wishes to you and your family. Such type of Rozgar Mela in Government of India and BJP-ruled State Governments show our commitment to the youth. In the last 9 years, the Prime Minister emphasized that the government has prioritized the recruitment process by making it faster, transparent and unbiased. Recalling the enthusiasm of the day, the Prime Minister said that the journey which started with the spirit of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, is working for a Viksit Bharat. During these 9 years, government policies were made keeping in mind the employment possibilities. Initiatives in the fields of modern infrastructure, rural push or expansion of the basic needs of life, every policy of the Government of India is creating new opportunities for the youth. Modern infrastructure like new highways, new airports, new rail routes, bridges etc. This is creating many new jobs in the country. Be it a foreign investment or India’s export might, the Prime Minister said that it is creating numerous opportunities for employment and self-employment in the country. It is very important for the youth of India to have the skills to work in different sectors. For this higher education institutes and skill development institutes are being developed at a fast pace in the country.
The Prime Minister exhorted the newly-appointed people to play a direct role in the ongoing Mahayagya of development and major changes in the country, while fulfilling their responsibilities in the next 25 years, as well as emphasizing on realizing the resolutions of a developed India. The Prime Minister urged the recruits to make full use of this opportunity and highlighted the government's emphasis on the skill development of its employees through the iGoT Karmayogi module, an online learning platform
