'Dak Chaupal' organized to bring government welfare services to doorsteps, inaugurated by Postmaster General Krishna Kumar Yadav

डाक विभाग द्वारा सरकार की तमाम जनकल्याणकारी योजनाओं और इनके लाभों को लोगों तक पहुँचाने के क्रम में 20 जुलाई, 2024 को 'डाक चौपाल' का आयोजन अहमदाबाद के नवरंगपुरा क्षेत्र में किया गया। 

कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि उत्तरी गुजरात, अहमदाबाद परिक्षेत्र के पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना और महिला सम्मान बचत पत्र की लाभार्थियों को पासबुक वितरित करते हुए सशक्त नारी-समृद्ध समाज का आह्वान किया। इस अवसर पर विशिष्ट अतिथि रूप में रिज़र्व बैंक ऑफ़ इंडिया, अहमदाबाद के जनरल मैनेजर श्री अशोक परिख, अहमदाबाद सिटी मंडल के प्रवर डाक अधीक्षक श्री विकास पलवे, इंडिया पोस्ट पेमेंट्स बैंक के चीफ़ मैनेजर श्री कपिल मंत्री भी उपस्थित रहे।   

पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा कि डाक विभाग का लक्ष्य देश और इसके नागरिकों के लाभ के लिए प्रमुख पहलों के माध्यम से सेवा अदायगी में बदलाव लाना और दक्षता बढ़ाना है। इसी क्रम में केन्द्रीय संचार एवं पूर्वोत्तर क्षेत्र विकास मंत्री श्री ज्योतिरादित्य एम. सिंधिया जी के निर्देश पर एक ऐतिहासिक पहल के तहत, डाक विभाग 100 दिनों में देश भर में 5,000 डाक चौपालों का आयोजन करेगा। इस पहल का उद्देश्य आवश्यक सरकारी और नागरिक-केंद्रित सेवाओं को सीधे ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में लाना है, जिससे पहुँच और सुविधा में सुधार होगा। डाक चौपाल ग्रामीणों और सरकारी कार्यों के बीच महत्वपूर्ण कड़ी के रूप में काम करेंगे, जिससे दूरी और पहुँच जैसी बाधाएँ कम होंगी। इसके माध्यम से समावेशी विकास और प्रगति को बढ़ावा देते हुए नागरिकों के जीवन की गुणवत्ता में उल्लेखनीय सुधार करना है। ये प्रयास एक विविधतापूर्ण और तेजी से आगे बढ़ते समाज की उभरती जरूरतों को पूरा करने के लिए डाक विभाग के सक्रिय दृष्टिकोण और समर्पण को रेखांकित करते हैं। इसके माध्यम से पहुँच और दक्षता को बढ़ाकर, डाक विभाग सामाजिक-आर्थिक प्रगति को उत्प्रेरित करने और देश भर में लाखों लोगों के जीवन की गुणवत्ता में सुधार करने के लिए तैयार है।    

पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा कि डिजिटल इण्डिया, वित्तीय समावेशन और अंत्योदय की संकल्पना से समाज के अंतिम व्यक्ति को जोड़ने हेतु जुलाई से सितंबर माह के मध्य उत्तरी गुजरात में 70 जगहों पर डाक चौपाल का आयोजन किया जाएगा। इनमें ‘सरकारी सेवाएँ आपके द्वार’ के तहत वित्तीय सेवायें, बीमा, पेमेन्ट्स बैंक सेवायें, डीबीटी, ई कॉमर्स और निर्यात सेवाएँ सहित तमाम नागरिक केंद्रित सेवाओं के प्रति जागरूकता के साथ लोगों को जोड़ा जाएगा। सरकार की तमाम जनकल्याणकारी योजनाओं और इनके लाभों को डाकघरों के माध्यम से लोगों तक पहुँचाया जायेगा।आईपीपीबी के माध्यम से डाकिया और ग्रामीण डाक सेवक आज एक चलते फिरते बैंक के रूप में कार्य कर रहे हैं।

रिज़र्व बैंक ऑफ़ इंडिया, अहमदाबाद के जनरल मैनेजर श्री अशोक परिख ने वित्तीय समावेशन में डाकघरों की अहम भूमिका बताया। उन्होंने बैंकिंग क्षेत्र में साइबर फ्रॉड के ख़तरों के प्रति भी सचेत किया। प्रवर डाक अधीक्षक अहमदाबाद श्री विकास पालवे ने डाक विभाग की विभिन्न योजनाओं और आईपीपीबी चीफ़ मैनेजर श्री कपिल मंत्री ने पेमेंट बैंक सेवाओं पर विस्तार से जानकारी दी। इस अवसर पर अहमदाबाद नगर निगम के नवरंगपुरा वार्ड की पार्षद श्रीमती आशाबेन ब्रह्मभट्ट, श्रीमती वंदना बेन शाह, पालडी वार्ड के पार्षद श्री चेतन भाई पटेल, श्रीमती पूजाबेन दवे, वासना वार्ड के पार्षद मेहुल भाई शाह और  सरखेज वार्ड के पार्षद विजयभाई ठाकोर भी डाक चौपाल में शामिल हुए और लोगों को डाक विभाग की इस पहल से अधिकाधिक जुड़ने हेतु प्रोत्साहित किया।

 इस अवसर पर विभिन्न लाभार्थियों के 3105 बचत खाते, 225 सुकन्या समृद्धि खाते, 81 महिला सम्मान बचत पत्र, 102 आईपीपीबी खाते खोले गये, वहीं 385 लोगों को दुर्घटना सुरक्षा बीमा योजना के तहत कवर किया गया।        

 कार्यक्रम में अहमदाबाद सिटी मंडल के डाकघर उपाधीक्षक वीएम वहोरा, नवरंगपुरा प्रधान डाकघर के सीनियर पोस्टमास्टर पीजे सोलंकी, सहायक डाक अधीक्षक एसएन गौरी, एचजे पारिख, एचजी राठौड़, एएम परमार, सहित तमाम अधिकारी और विभिन्न लाभार्थी शामिल रहे।

People's participation seen in Dak Chaupal organized by Postal Deptt at Ahmedabad, to promote government schemes

Dak Chaupal will be organized at 70 places in North Gujarat to connect people with citizen-centric services - Postmaster General Krishna Kumar Yadav.

In order to spread citizen centric welfare schemes of the government and its benefits, the Postal Department organized 'Postal Chaupal' on 20th July in Navrangpura area of Ahmedabad. Postmaster General of North Gujarat Region Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav inaugurated the programme and while distributing passbooks to the beneficiaries of Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana and Mahila Samman Bachat Patra, called for a strong women-rich society. On this occasion, Mr. Ashok Parikh, General Manager of Reserve Bank of India, Mr. Vikas Palve, Senior Superintendent of Posts Mr. Kapil Mantri, Chief Manager of India Post Payments Bank also graced the function.

Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that, Under the guidance of Minister of Communications & Development of North Eastern Region, Shri Jyotiraditya M Scindia, the Department of Posts will be organizing 5,000 Dak Chaupals across the country in the 100 days. This initiative aims to bring essential government and citizen-centric services directly to rural areas, improving accessibility and convenience. Dak Chaupals will serve as vital links between rural residents and government functions, reducing barriers such as distance and accessibility. Through initiatives like Dak Chaupals the Department of Posts aims to significantly improve the quality of life for citizens while fostering inclusive growth and development across the country. These efforts underscore the Department's proactive approach and dedication to meeting the evolving needs of a diverse and rapidly advancing society. By enhancing accessibility and efficiency, the Department of Posts is poised to catalyze socio-economic progress and improve the quality of life for millions across the country.

Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that Dak Chaupal will be organized at 70 places in North Gujarat between July to September to connect the last miles with the concept of Digital India, financial inclusion and Antyodaya. With focus on ‘bringing the Government Services at Doorsteps’, people will be make aware about many citizen centric services including financial services, insurance, payments bank services, DBT, e-commerce and export services. Welfare schemes of the government and their benefits will be delivered to the people through post offices. Through IPPB, postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks are today working as a mobile bank.

Mr.  Ashok Parikh, General Manager, Reserve Bank of India, Ahmedabad highlighted the important role of post offices in financial inclusion. He also made alert about the dangers of cyber fraud in the banking sector. Senior Superintendent of Post Offices Ahmedabad City Division Mr. Vikas Palve gave detailed information on various schemes of the Postal Department and IPPB Chief Manager Mr. Kapil Mantri about payment bank services.

 On this occasion, on spot people took advantage of many financial services including 3105 savings accounts, 225 Sukanya Samriddhi Account, 81 Mahila Samman Savings Certificates, 102 IPPB Accounts including 385 accident insurance schemes.

On this occasion, Navrangpura Ward Councilor of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, Mrs. Ashaben Brahmbhatt, Mrs. Vandana Ben Shah, Paldi Ward Councilor Mr. Chetan Bhai Patel, Mrs. Poojaben Dave, Vasna Ward Councilor Mehul Bhai Shah and Sarkhej Ward Councilor Vijaybhai Thakor also Participated in Dak Chaupal and encouraged people to get more involved with this initiative of the Postal Department.

On this occasion, Deputy Superintendent of Post Office, Shri VM Vhora and Senior Postmaster Shri PJ Solanki, Shri S N Gauri,Shri H J Parikh, Shri H G Rathore and Many people including Shri AM Parmar, were present.
