'Dak Chaupal' to be organized to connect people to various Welfare Schemes of the Government - Postmaster General Krishna Kumar Yadav

Postal services are adopting the latest technology and creating new dimensions every day. In the changing environment, the Postal Department is playing an important role in financial inclusion, Digital India and Antyodaya. Along with letters and parcels, the Postal Department is now also delivering the public welfare services of the government and their benefits to the people. For this, Dak Chaupal will be organized in the city as well as remote rural areas. The above sentiments were expressed by the newly appointed Postmaster General of Ahmedabad region, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav, while presiding over the review meeting of the Divisional Heads and India Post Payments Bank Managers of North Gujarat Region at the Regional office located at Shahibaug on July 11, 2024. Director Postal Services, Ms. Meeta Shah, through Power Point Presentation, gave the information about the work done by Ahmedabad region and the achievements.


Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that along with letters and parcels, the Postal Department is doing many public-oriented works like savings bank, postal life insurance, India Post Payments Bank, post office passport service center, Aadhaar enrollment and updation, common service center, Dak Niryat Kendra. Through IPPB, Postman and Gramin Dak Sevak are working as a mobile banked ATM today. Under CELC, many services like making Aadhaar for children at home, updating mobile, digital life certificate, DBT, bill payment, payment from bank account through AEPS, vehicle insurance, health insurance, accident insurance, Pradhan Mantri Jeevanjyoti Bima Yojana are being provided by IPPB at home through postman.

 Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav emphasized on achieving the targets allotted to various services by running a comprehensive campaign in this financial year. At the same time, emphasis was laid on connecting the common people with various services, prompt redressal of public grievances and sensitivity towards customers

 On this occasion, Director Postal Services Ms. Meeta Shah, Senior Superintendent Ahmedabad Shri Vikas Palve, Senior Superintendent Gandhinagar Shri Piyush Rajak, Senior Superintendent Railway Mail Service Shri Govind Sharma, Assistant Director Ms. Manjula Patel, Shri Satyendra Singh Shekhawat, Shri M.M.Shaikh, Superintendent Shri S I Mansuri, Shri S K Verma, Shri H C Parmar, Shri R A Goswami, Dy. Chief Postmaster Shri Ritul Gandhi, Accountant Shri Pankaj Snehi, IPPB Regional Manager Shri Kapil Mantri and officers of Headquarters region were present.
