गुजरात में अहमदाबाद मुख्यालय परिक्षेत्र के नवागत पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने 9 जुलाई, 2024 को वाराणसी से आकर कार्यभार ग्रहण कर लिया। मूलत: उत्तर प्रदेश में आज़मगढ़ जनपद निवासी, भारतीय डाक सेवा के वर्ष 2001 बैच के अधिकारी श्री यादव इससे पहले वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के पोस्टमास्टर जनरल पद पर कार्यरत थे। अहमदाबाद मुख्यालय परिक्षेत्र के अधीन अहमदाबाद जीपीओ, अहमदाबाद, गांधीनगर, बनासकांठा, साबरकांठा, अरवल्ली, महेसाणा, पाटण जनपद शामिल हैं। निवर्तमान पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्रीमती सुचिता जोशी नवी मुंबई के लिए भारमुक्त हो गईं।
गौरतलब है कि श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ख़्यात हिन्दी साहित्यकार, लेखक व ब्लॉगर भी हैं। विभिन्न विधाओं में उनकी 7 पुस्तकें प्रकाशित हो चुकी हैं। एक कुशल व संवेदनशील प्रशासक के रूप में लोकप्रिय श्री यादव की शिक्षा नवोदय विद्यालय और इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय से हुई है। यह भी सुखद संयोग है कि श्री यादव ने सिविल सेवाओं में अपने करियर की शुरुआत वर्ष 2003 में प्रवर डाक अधीक्षक, सूरत मण्डल के रूप में की थी। उसके बाद लखनऊ, कानपुर, अण्डमान-निकोबार द्वीप समूह, प्रयागराज, जोधपुर, लखनऊ, वाराणसी के बाद एक बार फिर से गुजरात में पोस्टमास्टर जनरल के पद पर नियुक्ति हुई है।
Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav took over the charge as Postmaster General, Head Quarter Region, Ahmedabad on 09.07.2024. He is an officer of Indian Postal Services batch 2001. Before this, he was working as Postmaster General, Varanasi Region, Uttar Pradesh. Under Ahmedabad Region, Ahmedabad GPO, Ahmedabad City, Gandhinagar, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahesana, Patan districts are included. Outgoing Postmaster General Smt. Suchita Joshi was relieved for Navi Mumbai.
It is noteworthy that Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav is also a famous Hindi litterateur, writer and blogger. His 7 books have been published in different genres. Popularly known as an efficient and sensitive administrator, Mr. Yadav has received his education from Navodaya Vidyalaya and Allahabad University. He started his career in civil services in the year 2003 as Senior Superintendent of Post offices, Surat Division. After that, he served in Lucknow, Kanpur, Andaman-Nicobar Islands, Allahabad (Prayagraj), Jodhpur and Varanasi in various capacities.
After Joining, Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav reviewed the progress of postal services in Ahmedabad Region. Working with team spirit, he asked the employees to adopt a customer friendly approach while connecting more and more people with various welfare schemes. Emphasis was laid on regular monitoring of various schemes and prompt disposal of public grievances and also increasing financial inclusion by organizing special camps in rural areas.
On this occasion, Director Postal Services Ms. Mita Shah, Senior Superintendent Ahmedabad City Shri Vikas Palve, Senior Superintendent Gandhinagar, Shri Piyush Rajak, Senior Superintendent Railway Mail Service Shri Govind Sharma, Assistant Director Ms. Manjula Patel, Shri Satyendra Singh Shekhawat, Shri M.M. Shaikh etc. along with other officers welcomed the new Postmaster General.
