The Department of Posts release of a commemorative postage stamp to honor Kargil Vijay Diwas, celebrated on July 26th every year. This day marks the victory of Indian Armed Forces in the Kargil conflict of 1999, a testament to the bravery, dedication, and sacrifice of our soldiers.
The release ceremony took place at Kargil War Memorial, Drass where Lieutenant General M. V. Suchindra Kumar, PVSM, AVSM, YSM & bar, VSM Army Commander Northern Command unveiled the commemorative postage stamp in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, veterans, and family members of the Kargil War heroes. The ceremony took place in front of the Tiger Hill (visible at the back).
