डाक विभाग नवीन सेवाओं और नई टेक्नोलॉजी के साथ अपनी सेवाओं का निरंतर विस्तार करते हुए नित्य समाज के अंतिम व्यक्ति तक पहुंच रहा है। मोबाइल, ईमेल और सोशल मीडिया के इस दौर में भी पत्रों की अपनी अहमियत है। आज भी तमाम महत्वपूर्ण दस्तावेज - सरकारी व कोर्ट संबंधी पत्रों के साथ आधार कार्ड, पासपोर्ट, ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस, वोटर आई कार्ड, पैन कार्ड, विभिन्न बैंकों की चेक बुक व एटीएम कार्ड डाकघरों से ही भेजे जाते हैं। 'राष्ट्रीय डाक सप्ताह' के अंतर्गत 'मेल एवं पार्सल दिवस' पर वाराणसी कैंट प्रधान डाकघर कैम्पस में आयोजित 'ग्राहक सम्मेलन' को संबोधित करते हुए वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने उक्त उद्गार व्यक्त किये। 

इस दौरान डाक विभाग को स्पीड पोस्ट सेवा में सर्वाधिक बिजनेस देने हेतु भारतीय जीवन बीमा निगम, मंडलीय कार्यालय, भेलूपुर, क्षेत्रीय कर्मचारी भविष्य निधि कार्यालय, पहड़िया और केंद्रीय वस्तु एवं सेवा कर आयुक्तालय, वाराणसी को पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने सम्मानित भी किया। इंटरनेशनल मेल्स के क्षेत्र में गीता प्रेस, बालाजी वी.एच इम्पेक्स और प्रेषक एंड सेंडर फर्मों को सम्मानित किया गया।  डाक विभाग द्वारा मेल एवं पार्सल सेवाओं के क्षेत्र में किये जा रहे तमाम नवाचारों और सुविधाओं के बारे में डाक निरीक्षक वीएन द्विवेदी द्वारा पॉवर प्वाइंट प्रजेंटेशन के द्वारा विस्तार से जानकारी दी गयीI

पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने पार्सल सेवाओं के बारे में नवाचार की चर्चा करते हुए कहा कि डाकघरों में पार्सल भेजने वाले ग्राहकों के लिए  विशेश्वरगंज स्थित वाराणसी प्रधान डाकघर और वाराणसी कैण्ट प्रधान डाकघर में पार्सल पैकिंग यूनिट की स्थापना की गयी है। ई-कॉमर्स को बढ़ावा देने हेतु  कैश-ऑन-डिलेवरी वस्तुओं और वस्तुओं के बीमा शुल्क में भी कमी कर डाक शुल्क की नयी दरें लागू की गयी हैं। आने वाले दिनों में पार्सल के रिटर्न पिकअप, ओटीपी आधारित वितरण, स्मार्ट मशीन के माध्यम से पार्सलों की बुकिंग व वितरण की सुविधा भी मुहैया करायी जायेगी। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय डाक के त्वरित निस्तारण हेतु जहाँ वाराणसी में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय व्यवसाय केंद्र की स्थापना की गयी है वहीं गाजीपुर में डाक निर्यात केंद्र आरम्भ किया गया है।

श्री यादव ने बताया कि, डाक विभाग ने तमाम कस्टमर फ्रेंडली सेवाएं आरंभ करके ग्राहकों  को अपनी तरफ आकर्षित किया है। श्री काशी विश्वनाथ सहित तमाम प्रसिद्ध मंदिरों के प्रसाद और पवित्र गंगा जल स्पीड पोस्ट से लोगों के पास पहुँच रहे हैं। पार्सल वितरण हेतु नोडल डिलीवरी सेंटर तो ई-कॉमर्स उत्पादों हेतु कैश ऑन डिलीवरी की सुविधा दी जा रही है। लेटर बॉक्स से नियमित निकासी हेतु 'नन्यथा' एप और डाक वितरण हेतु पोस्टमैन मोबाइल एप के माध्यम से डाकिया को हाईटेक बनाया गया है। आज डाकिया सिर्फ पत्र ही नहीं लाता, वह चलता-फिरता बैंक बनकर वित्तीय समावेशन में भी अहम भूमिका निभा रहा है।

पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव  ने कहा कि डाक विभाग विभिन्न व्यवसाय समूहों के हिसाब से विभिन्न प्रकार की योजनाएं संचालित कर रहा है। इसमें स्पीड पोस्ट, बिजनेस पार्सल, बिजनेस पोस्ट, मीडिया पोस्ट, बिल मेल सर्विस, रिटेल पोस्ट, लॉजिस्टिक्स पोस्ट, डायरेक्ट पोस्ट, ई-पोस्ट, ई-पेमेंट इत्यादि  प्रमुख हैं।

Department of Posts organized Customers meet to celebrate National Postal Week

Letters remain important even in the age of social media - Postmaster General Krishna Kumar Yadav

Department of Posts is constantly expanding its services with introduction of new services and implementation of new technologies and is constantly reaching up to the last person of the society. Even in this age of mobile, email and social media, letters have their own importance. Today all the important documents - Aadhar card, passport, driving license, voter ID card, PAN card, cheque book of various banks and ATM cards are dispatched through Post offices along with Government and Court related letters /communications. Postmaster General of Varanasi Region, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav made above remarks while addressing the customer meet organized at Varanasi Cantt Head Post Office on 'Mails and Parcels Day' under celebration of 'National Postal Week'. In the customer meet, LIC Divisional Office, Regional Employees Provident Fund Office and Central Goods and Services Tax Commissionerate, Varanasi were felicitated by Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav for giving maximum business under Speed Post Service to the Department of Posts. In the field of International Mails, Gita Press, Balaji V.H Impex and Preshak & Sender firms were felicitated. All the information related to product & services of India Post, facilities, major changes took place, and initiative taken in the field of mail and parcel services were given in detail by the Inspector Posts V.N. Dwivedi through a power point presentation.

Postmaster General, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav while briefing about the innovation regarding Parcel services said that Parcel Packing Unit has been set up at Varanasi Head Post Office at Visheshwarganj and Varanasi Cantt Head Post Office for the customers sending parcels in post offices. In order to promote e-commerce, new rates of postage have been implemented by reducing the insurance charges for cash-on-delivery goods and goods. In up-coming days, facility of return pickup of parcels, OTP based delivery, booking and delivery of parcels through smart machines will also be provided. For speedy disposal of International mail, International Business Centre has been established in Varanasi, whereas, Dak Niryat Kendra has been started in Ghazipur.

Mr. Yadav said that the Department of Posts has attracted the customers by introducing many customer friendly services. Pious Ganga Jal and Prasad from many famous temples including Shri Kashi Vishwanath are reaching to publics through Speed Post.  Postman has been made hi-tech through 'Nanyatha' app for regular clearance from letter box and Postman mobile app for capturing of real time delivery of mail. Today the postman not only brings letters, he is also playing an important role in financial inclusion by becoming a mobile bank.

Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that the Department of Posts is offering different types of schemes according to need of different business groups. This includes Speed Post, Business Parcel, Business Post, Media Post, Bill Mail Service, Retail Post, Logistics Post, Direct Post, E-Post, E-payment etc.

On this occasion, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices Rajan, Superintendent of Posts P.C. Tiwari, Assistant Director Brijesh Sharma, Senior Postmaster C.S. Barua, Assistant Superintendent Ajay Kumar, R.K Chauhan, M R Rashdee, Postal Inspector Shrikant Pal, V.N. Dwivedi, Inderjeet Pal, Ramesh Yadav, Servesh Singh Postmaster of Cantt Head Post Office Gopal Dubey and representatives of various corporate institutions, departments have attended the meet. Postmaster General also felicitated all the distinguished customers at the end of the programme.

 पहली बार न जाने किसने, मुझको ऐसा पत्र लिखा,

अपनेपन का संबोधन दे, मुझको अपना मित्र लिखा।

उसने लिखा कि प्रियवर मेरे

 धीरज अपना मत खोना,

मिलते ही एकांत कहीं पर

फूट-फूट कर मत रोन।

जन्म-जन्म के संबंधों का ब्योरा बहुत विचित्र लिखा,

पहली बार न जाने किसने मुझको ऐसा पत्र लिखा। 

फिर यह लिखा कि मन कन्चन मृग

इसके पीछे मत जाना

सुख-दुःख से ही बना हुआ है

दुनिया का ताना-बाना।

अग्निपरीक्षा जैसा ही कुछ, आंसू भरा प्रपत्र लिखा,

पहली बार न जाने किसने मुझको ऐसा पत्र लिखा।

यह भी लिखा दुःखी मत होना

तुम गीतों में जी लेना,

अपनी पीड़ा घुटन छिपा कर

सारे आंसू पी लेना।

फिर फिर कोने में तिथि अंकित की, घर का नाम पवित्र लिखा

पहली बार न जाने किसने मुझको ऐसा पत्र लिखा।

पढ़कर उसकी व्यथा कथा को

हम उस रात बहुत रोए

सदियां बीत गई हैं तब से

उसके बाद नहीं सोए।

 

जो कुछ लिखा, बहुत गहरा था, जैसे राम-चरित्र लिखा

Department of Posts released Permanent Pictorial Cancellation on Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Varanasi

Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Varanasi has preserved the antiquity, historicity, spirituality and cultural glory of the city. Millions of devotees and tourists from all over the country and the world come to see it. Realizing the dreams of crores of Shiva devotees around the world, this ancient divine temple brings alive the culture of Kashi. The above words were expressed by the Postmaster General of Varanasi Region, Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav while releasing a  Permanent Pictorial Cancellation on Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Varanasi on 13th November, 2021.

In the middle of this cancellation, the top of the temple and the flag inscribed on it have been engraved and in the rounding of the edge, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Varanasi has been inscribed in Hindi and English. Varanasi Head Post Office and its Pincode-221001 have been written along with the date at the bottom of the cancellation. Now instead of the normal cancellation, the letters and parcels going to and from the country and the world from the Varanasi Head Post Office at Visheshwarganj will have a special  pictorial cancellation of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

In the program organized in the Regional Office, Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that it is tremendous coincidence that on this day, rejuvenated and transformed Shri Kashi Vishwanath Corridor is being inaugurated by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. As such this initiative of the Department of Posts will make this day more splendid. The Postal Department has always been playing the role of cultural ambassador. In such a situation, this special pictorial cancellation being affixed on all the mails will act as the cultural ambassador of Varanasi not only within the country but also at the global level. Having a picture of the top of Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple on the cancellation will expand the faith of the people and will also increase the curiosity among the youths to explore more about it. Mr. Yadav further added that this special cancellation will spread the cultural ties associated with Varanasi and Lord Shiva all over the world. It will  be an invaluable treasure for Lord Shiva devotees across the world. It's purpose is to convey the rich history of Kashi along with the glory of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Mandir, it's culture, it's purity to the country and the world. Along with Divya-Kashi, Bhavya-Kashi, it will give a new identity to the cultural pride and identity of Kashi.

Senior Superintendent of Post Office, Varanasi (East) Division, Mr. Rajan Rao said that now in Varanasi Head Post Office, all the letters coming and going from the country and the world will be affixed with the special pictorial cancellation of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple. It will prove to be a priceless gift for the philatelists. This will also boost tourism.

During this, Superintendent Post Office Varanasi (West) Division Sanjay Kumar Verma, Assistant Director Ram Milan,  Accounts Officer MP Verma, Assistant Superintendent of Posts Ajay Kumar, Assistant Accounts Officer Santoshi Rai, Inspector Posts Shrikant Pal, VN Dwivedi and Ramchandra Yadav, Sriprakash Gupta, Rajendra Yadav, Rahul Kumar along with other employees, philatelists were present.

Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple : श्री काशी विश्वनाथ मंदिर, वाराणसी पर डाक विभाग ने जारी किया विशेष चित्रात्मक मुहर

श्री काशी विश्वनाथ मंदिर, वाराणसी नगरी की प्राचीनता, ऐतिहासिकता, आध्यामिकता और सांस्कृतिक गौरव को अपने में सहेजे हुए है। इसके दर्शन के लिए देश-दुनिया से लाखों श्रद्धालु और पर्यटक आते हैं। दुनिया भर के करोड़ों शिव भक्तों के सपने साकार करने वाला यह प्राचीन दिव्य मंदिर काशी की संस्कृति को जीवंतता प्रदान करता है। उक्त उद्गार वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने 13 दिसंबर, 2021 को श्री काशी विश्वनाथ मंदिर, वाराणसी पर एक स्पेशल पिक्टोरियल कैंसिलेशन (Special Pictorial Cancellation) जारी करते हुए व्यक्त किये। 

इस मुहर के मध्य में मंदिर के शिखर और उस पर अंकित धर्म ध्वजा को उकेरा गया है एवं किनारे गोलाई  में हिंदी व अंग्रेजी में श्री काशी विश्वनाथ मंदिर, वाराणसी अंकित किया गया है। मुहर के निचले भाग में दिनांक के साथ वाराणसी प्रधान डाकघर व इसका पिनकोड-221001 लिखा गया है। अब विश्वेश्वरगंज स्थित वाराणसी प्रधान डाकघर से देश-दुनिया को आने-जाने वाले पत्रों पर सामान्य मुहर की बजाय श्री काशी विश्वनाथ मंदिर के चित्र वाली विशेष मुहर लगेगी।

क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा कि यह एक अद्भुत संयोग है कि आज ही के दिन माननीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी द्वारा श्री काशी विश्वनाथ कॉरिडोर का अपने नव्य, भव्य व दिव्य रूप में लोकार्पण किया जा रहा है। ऐसे में डाक विभाग की यह पहल इस दिन को और भी विशिष्टता प्रदान करेगी। डाक विभाग सदैव से सांस्कृतिक राजदूत की भूमिका निभाता रहा है। ऐसे में यह विशिष्ट चित्रमय मुहर देश-विदेश के सभी आने-जाने वाले पत्रों पर अंकित होने से न सिर्फ देश के भीतर बल्कि वैश्विक स्तर पर भी वाराणसी के सांस्कृतिक दूत का कार्य करेगा। मुहर पर श्री काशी विश्वनाथ मंदिर के शिखर का चित्र होने से लोगों की आस्था का विस्तार होगा तथा युवा पीढ़ी में भी इसके बारे में जानने के लिए उत्सुकता बढ़ेगी। 

श्री यादव ने आगे कहा कि इस विशेष मुहर से पूरे विश्व में वाराणसी और भगवान शिव से जुड़े सांस्कृतिक संबंधों का प्रसार होगा। दुनिया भर के शिव भक्तों के लिए यह एक अमूल्य निधि की तरह साबित होगा। इसका उद्देश्य श्री काशी विश्वनाथ की महिमा, उसकी संस्कृति, उसकी पवित्रता सहित काशी के इतिहास को देश-दुनिया तक पहुँचाना है। दिव्य-काशी, भव्य-काशी के साथ यह काशी के सांस्कृतिक गौरव और अस्मिता को नई पहचान देगा।

वाराणसी (पूर्वी) मंडल के प्रवर अधीक्षक डाकघर श्री राजन राव ने कहा कि अब वाराणसी प्रधान डाकघर में देश-दुनिया से आने-जाने वाली सभी चिट्ठियों-पत्रों पर  प्रतिदिन श्री काशी विश्वनाथ मंदिर के स्पेशल पिक्टोरियल कैंसिलेशन की मुहर अंकित कर इसे धरोहर के रूप में संजोया जा सकेगा। वाराणसी प्रधान डाकघर से प्रति माह देश-विदेश में 3 लाख से ज्यादा डाक की बुकिंग होती है, वहीं लगभग 1 लाख डाक का वितरण होता है। ऐसे में डाक टिकट संग्राहकों के लिए यह एक अनमोल उपहार साबित होगा। इससे पर्यटन को भी बढ़ावा मिलेगा।

मोबाइलों के दौर के आशिक़ को क्या पता, रखते थे कैसे ख़त में कलेजा निकाल कर

'डाकखाना' - यह केवल एक शब्द नहीं, एक पूरी संस्कृति है। संचार की सबसे प्रारंभिक अवस्था से मनुष्य का साथ देने वाली चिट्ठी; संस्कृति में इतनी रची-बसी रही कि उस पर गीत लिखे गये। चिट्ठी, खत, पाती, नामा, लिफ़ाफ़ा, मजमून, नामाबर, डाकिया, तार, पोस्टकार्ड, डाकबाबू, लेटर बॉक्स, डाक टिकट और न जाने कितने ही शब्दों से सुसज्जित यह डाक-व्यवस्था शायरी और कविताओं के साथ साथ कहानी और उपन्यासों का भी महत्वपूर्ण अंग रही है।

'पीली चिट्ठी' मांगलिक अवसर का प्रतीक होती थी और कोना फटा हुआ पोस्टकार्ड अशुभ की सूचना लेकर आता था। चिट्ठी में लिखा गया एक-एक शब्द महत्वपूर्ण होता था। व्यक्तिगत चिट्ठियों में हाशिये पर की गई चित्रकारी देखकर पानेवाले को लिखनेवाले की मनोदशा का दर्शन हो जाता था।

चिट्ठी के प्रारम्भ में 'आपका पत्र मिला'; 'अत्रं कुशलं तत्रप्यस्तु'; हम सब यहाँ कुशलतापूर्वक हैं, आशा है आप सब भी कुशल होंगे' जैसे वाक्यांश औपचारिक होने के बावजूद रसपूर्ण लगते थे। इसी प्रकार 'बड़ों को चरण स्पर्श और छोटों को ढेर सारा प्यार' जैसा वाक्य चिट्ठी से पूरे परिवार को जोड़ देता था।

लेटर बॉक्स के नीचे सुरंग की कल्पना और रात में चिट्ठी पहुंचाने वाली परियों की कल्पना करने वाला बचपन भी डाक-संस्कृति के साथ ही कहीं गुम हो गया। डाकिये की प्रतीक्षा करने वाली दोपहरी भी अब समय के चक्र से विदा हो गई है।

साथ ही नदारद हो गये हैं वे गीत, जो डाक संस्कृति के इर्द-गिर्द रचे जाते थे। 'मास्टर जी की आई चिट्ठी'; 'हमने सनम को ख़त लिखा'; 'जाते हो परदेस पिया, जाते ही ख़त लिखना'; 'कबूतर जा-जा'; 'चिट्ठी आई है'; 'चिट्ठी न कोई संदेश'; 'ख़त लिख दे साँवरिया के नाम बाबू'; 'फूल तुम्हें भेजा है ख़त में'; 'डाकिया डाक लाया'; 'डाक बाबू आया'; 'संदेसे आते हैं; 'लिखे जो ख़त तुझे'; 'फूलों के रंग से दिल की क़लम से तुझको लिखी रोज़ पाती'; 'सुन ले बाबू ये पैग़ाम, मेरी चिट्ठी तेरे नाम'; 'तेरे खुशबू में बसे ख़त मैं जलाता कैसे' और 'मैंने ख़त महबूब के नाम लिखा' जैसे दर्जनों गीत हिंदी सिनेमा की तवारीख़ में हीरों की तरह जड़े हुए हैं।

कवि-सम्मेलनों में भी चिट्ठी का ख़ूब चलन रहा। मुझे अच्छी तरह याद है। हापुड़ के एक कवि-सम्मेलन में श्वेतकेशा ज्ञानवती सक्सेना जी ने एक गीत पढ़ा- 'ऐसे में क्या चिट्ठी लिखूँ, जब कोना फटने के दिन हैं!' गीत उनकी वय पर इतना एकरूप प्रतीत हुआ कि उसकी संवेदना ने भीतर तक सिहरन उत्पन्न कर दी थी। किशन सरोज जी का गीत 'कर दिये लो आज गंगा में प्रवाहित सब तुम्हारे पत्र, सारे चित्र तुम निश्चिंत रहना' श्रोताओं के मन और नयन दोनों को तर कर देता था। माया गोविंद जी का 'डाकिये ने द्वार खटखटाया, अनबाँचा पत्र लौटाया' गीत लोकप्रियता के कीर्तिमान खड़े कर गया। आज भी डॉ विष्णु सक्सेना जब अपने मुक्तक की चौथी पंक्ति पढ़ते हुए कहते हैं कि, 'उसने गुस्से में मेरा ख़त चबा लिया होगा' तो चिट्ठियों के सहारे जवान हुई हज़ारों प्रेम कहानियां जीवंत हो उठती हैं।

उर्दू शायरी भी इस विषय से भरी पड़ी है। 'नामाबर तू ही बता तूने तो देखे होंगे/कैसे होते हैं ख़त, जिनका जवाब आता है' सरीख़े सैंकड़ों अशआर लोगों की ज़ुबान पर चढ़े। 

दाग़ देहलवी साहब का मशहूर शेर 'तुम्हारे ख़त में नया इक सलाम किसका था/मैं था रक़ीब तो आख़िर वो नाम किसका था' किसी उपन्यास का कथानक बन जाने की क्षमता रखता है। 'लिफ़ाफ़ा देख के मजमून भाँप लेते हैं' जैसे मिसरे मुहावरे बनकर मक़बूल हो गये। हाल ही में वाशु पाण्डेय ने भी चिट्ठियों में बन्द मुहब्बत की इबारत को बयान करते हुए कहा कि, 'क़ासिद चिट्ठी तैश में आकर लिखी थी/ ले जाओ, पर देना मत शहज़ादी को'। 

तकनीक बदली तो यह सब कुछ फ़ना हो गया। मोबाइल पर एस.एम.एस या कंप्यूटर पर ईमेल भेजने वाली पीढ़ी को चिट्ठियों की उस जादुई दुनिया का अनुमान तक नहीं है। उदयप्रताप सिंह जी का ये शेर पढ़ते हुए आज भी मन तीन दशक पुरानी यादों में खो जाता है, 'मोबाइलों के दौर के आशिक़ को क्या पता, रखते थे कैसे ख़त में कलेजा निकाल कर'।

ब्याहता बिटिया की चिट्ठी मिलने पर माँ का खिला हुए चेहरा; हॉस्टल में रह रहे बेटे को चिट्ठी लिखती माँ की भीगी हुई पलकें; चिट्ठी में लिखे गये शब्दों के साथ अनलिखा दर्द पढ़ लेने का हुनर; हाशिये पर बनी चित्रकारी से मनोदशा पहचान लेने की कला और राखी के त्यौहार पर बहन की चिट्ठी खोलते भाइयों का कौतूहल अब देखने को नहीं मिलता।

'पिता के पत्र पुत्री के नाम' जैसी किताबें चिट्ठियों की अहमियत का चित्र प्रस्तुत करती हैं।

लेकिन आज 'ख़ून से लिख रहा हूँ स्याही न समझना' सरीख़े मिसरे दूर खड़े होकर धूल खा रहे लेटर बॉक्स देखकर बिलख पड़ते होंगे। निदा साहब की दो पंक्तियाँ रह-रहकर उस क़िरदार की याद दिलाती हैं जिसे हम डाकिया कहते थे - 'सीधा-सादा डाकिया जादू करे महान/एक ही थैले में भरे आँसू और मुस्कान'। 

टीवी और रेडियो पर चिट्ठियां भेजने का रिवाज़ अब इतिहास बन चुका है। संपादक के नाम पत्र और प्रकाशनार्थ रचना भेजने की क़वायद हम भूल चुके हैं। न ही संपादकों को अब 'खेद सहित' रचना लौटाने का स्वाद पता है। 

रमेश शर्मा जी के गीत का मुखड़ा एक पूरी परम्परा को श्रद्धांजलि देता हुआ जान पड़ता है - 'ओ दूरभाष की सुविधाओं, मुझे वो चिट्ठी लौटा दो!'

Department of Posts is constantly expanding the horizon of its services with new services and new technology, continuously reaching the last person of the society. Even in this age of mobile, email and social media, letters have their own importance. Even today all the important documents - Aadhar card, passport, driving license, voter ID card, PAN card, cheque book of various banks and ATM card are sent from Post Offices along with Government and court related letters. Addressing the 'Customer Meet' organized on 'Mail Day' under 'National Postal Week', the Postmaster General of Varanasi Region, Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav made the above remarks. During this, Life Insurance Corporation of India, Divisional Office, Bhelupur, First Foreign Service and Regional Employees Provident Fund Office, Pahariya were also honored by Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav for giving maximum business in Speed Post service to the Postal Department.

Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that the Department of Posts is running different types of schemes to cater the different business groups. These include Speed Post, Business Parcel, Business Post, Media Post, Bill Mail Service, Retail Post, Logistics Post, Direct Post, E-Post, E-payment, etc. After the establishment of International Business Center in Cantt Head Post Office Complex in Varanasi, sending mail abroad has also become much easier.

Mr. Yadav said that the Department of Posts has attracted the customers by introducing many customer friendly services. Prasad from many famous temples including Shri Kashi Vishwanath and pious Ganga water bottles are reaching at the door step by Speed Post. Nodal delivery center for parcel delivery and cash on delivery facility is being provided for e-commerce products. Postman has been made hi-tech through 'Nanyatha' app for regular clearance of letters from letter box and Postman mobile app for delivery of mails. In present scenario the postman not only brings the letters but also playing an important role in financial inclusion by becoming a mobile bank.

Dhai Akhar Letter writing Competition by India Post : प्रतियोगिता की अंतिम तिथि अब 31 जनवरी, चार हजार से ज्यादा लोगों ने अब तक लिखा पत्र

 गाँधी जी का पत्रों से अटूट संबंध रहा है। यही कारण है कि राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी की 150वीं जयंती वर्ष में डाक विभाग द्वारा ‘प्रिय बापू, आप अमर हैं’ विषय पर "ढाई आखर" राष्ट्रीय स्तर पत्र लेखन प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। और  यदि आपका पत्र चुना गया तो पाँच हजार से पचास हजार रूपये तक का पुरस्कार भी मिलेगा। उक्त जानकारी लखनऊ मुख्यालय परिक्षेत्र के निदेशक डाक सेवाएँ श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने दी। इसके लिए विभिन्न स्कूलों-कॉलेजों में डाक विभाग द्वारा अभियान चलाकर भी युवा पीढ़ी को इससे जोड़ा जा रहा है। लखनऊ परिक्षेत्र में अब तक 4 हजार से ज्यादा लोगों ने इसमें भाग लिया है। ज्यादा से ज्यादा लोगों को जोड़ने हेतु इसकी अंतिम तिथि भी बढ़ाकर 31 जनवरी, 2020 कर दी गई है।

डाक निदेशक श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा  कि इस  'ढाई आखर' पत्र लेखन प्रतियोगिता में किसी भी उम्र के लोग भाग ले  सकते हैं। पहला वर्ग 18 वर्ष तक तथा दूसरा 18 वर्ष से अधिक आयु वर्ग का होगा। पत्र डाक विभाग द्वारा जारी अंतर्देशीय पत्र अथवा लिफाफे में ही स्वीकार्य होगा,  जिसमें क्रमशः 500 और 1,000 शब्दों में अंग्रेजी, हिन्दी अथवा स्थानीय भाषा में हाथ से पत्र लिखा जा सकता है।

शहरों में  पत्र को प्रधान डाकघर या अन्य वितरण डाकघरों में इसके लिए निर्दिष्ट लेटर बॉक्स में ही  डालना होगा, जबकि गाँवों में लोग इसे अपने ब्रांच पोस्टमास्टर के माध्यम से भेज  सकते हैं। पत्र में अपना पूरा नाम, पता व जन्मतिथि सहित  चीफ पोस्टमास्टर जनरल, उत्तर प्रदेश परिमंडल, लखनऊ -226001  के पते पर 31 जनवरी, 2020  तक निर्धारित लेटर बॉक्स में  डाल दें।

डाक निदेशक श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया  कि  प्रतियोगिता के विजेताओं को राज्य और राष्ट्रीय स्तरों पर तीन-तीन पुरस्कार प्रदान किए जाएंगे। इनमें परिमंडलीय (राज्य) स्तर पर चयनित श्रेष्ठ पत्रों को प्रथम, द्वितीय व तृतीय श्रेणी में क्रमश: पचीस हजार, दस हजार व  पांच हजार रूपए का पुरस्कार दिया जायेगा। राष्ट्रीय  स्तर पर चयनित श्रेष्ठ पत्रों को प्रथम, द्वितीय व तृतीय श्रेणी में क्रमश: पचास हजार, पचीस हजार व दस हजार रूपए का पुरस्कार दिया जायेगा।

'Nanyatha' makes Letter Boxes smart : Post Offices begin e-monitoring of letter boxes by ‘Nanyatha’ in Lucknow

In the era of new technology now Letter Boxes will be getting smart. This is now possible with the implementation of the Electronic Monitoring of Letter Box Clearance through the Nanyatha software developed by Department of Posts. The programme helps to know the status of letters dropped in the box and functioning of the delivery system in the postal network through Internet.

Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director Postal Services, Lucknow HQ Region told that Real time based and GPS enabled mobile software ‘Nanyatha’ is aimed at monitoring the clearance of letter boxes planted at various locations attached to post offices. This application helps in uploading the data about the location of  Letter Box, date and time of clearance, Number of letters and the person who has cleared  to the web MIS having the address https://appost.in/nanyatha, when  the bar code is scanned using a smart phone.  

Explaining the system, Director Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that in Lucknow City there are 201 letter boxes, each letter box is assigned a unique barcode consisting of a pin code followed by a twelve-digit serial number. After capturing the location, letter box attendant opens it, counts the number of letters inside, and scans the barcode fixed inside through the hand set by using the installed android application. Then the attendant enters his/her name and the number of articles cleared through the app on the smartphone, which gets uploaded on the server, said Mr. Yadav.

This software also facilitates the members of public to know the states of letter clearance which is posted in a particular letter box. With this software, customers by a click of mouse can know whether the letters dropped by them in letter boxes are collected or not. It is also possible to know the date, time and name of the postman who picked up the letters, said Mr. Yadav. It also provides MIS to the Postal department to know the volume of letters posted in a letter box and thereby to rationalize the letter boxes.
