Director General, India Post presented Dak Seva awards to Postal staff of Uttar Pradesh Circle

उत्तर प्रदेश डाक परिमंडल में विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में उत्कृष्ट कार्य करने वाले डाककर्मियों को 25 फरवरी, 2021 को लखनऊ जीपीओ में आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम में डाक विभाग के महानिदेशक श्री विनीत पाण्डेय ने 'डाक सेवा अवार्ड 2020' और डाक जीवन बीमा एवं ग्रामीण डाक जीवन बीमा में उत्कृष्ट कार्य करने वाले कर्मियों को सम्मानित किया। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता चीफ पोस्ट मास्टर जनरल उत्तर प्रदेश परिमंडल श्री कौशलेंद्र कुमार सिन्हा ने की। इस दौरान वैयक्तिक श्रेणी में 8 और समूह श्रेणी में 3 अवार्ड सहित कुल 11 अवार्ड दिए गए।

'डाक सेवा अवार्ड' के तहत बलिया जनपद में रामगढ़ शाखा डाकघर के  शाखा डाकपाल प्रत्यय कुमार राय, कानपुर विश्वविद्यालय के पोस्टमैन राजेन्द्र सिंह, क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय आगरा में डाक सहायक प्रणय छिब्बर, हरदोई में लखनऊ रोड डाकघर के पोस्टमास्टर पोस्टमास्टर राजेश सिंह, उपमंडलीय निरीक्षक गोला, खीरी अमित कुमार, प्रवर डाकघर अधीक्षक, झांसी मंडल उग्रसेन, सिस्टम मैनेजर खीरी ज्ञानेंद्र कुमार सिंह और बाराबंकी प्रधान डाकघर की सुधा वर्मा को वित्तीय वर्ष 2019-20 में उत्कृष्ट कार्य हेतु डाक सेवा अवार्ड प्रदान किये गए। सामूहिक स्तर पर दिए गए अवार्ड में आगरा प्रधान डाकघर को स्वच्छ्तम डाकघर, बरेली आरएमएस को स्वच्छ्तम आरएमएस और आईसीएच झाँसी आरएमएस को स्वच्छ्तम स्पीड पोस्ट सेंटर का अवार्ड दिया गया। 

समारोह में अतिथियों का स्वागत पोस्टमास्टर जनरल लखनऊ परिक्षेत्र विवेक दक्ष और आभार ज्ञापन पोस्टमास्टर जनरल वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने किया।

Postal Department is broadening its services with innovation - Postmaster General Krishna Kumar Yadav

Varanasi: While the Department of Posts is constantly broadening its services with innovation, in the era of the global pandemic Corona, postal official did not care about their lives and played an important role as Corona Warriors. In the midst of the Corona epidemic, postal services created new dimensions as essential services. Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav expressed these views while, chaired the meeting held on 23 February, 2020 to review the work of various Postal divisions of Varanasi Region.

 In the Regional office at Cantt Head Post Office campus, all Divisional Heads including Varanasi East, Varanasi West, Ghazipur, Jaunpur and Ballia gave a detailed presentation on the progress of postal services, various schemes and target achievements.  During this, Assistant Superintendent of Post Offices and Sub Divisional Inspectors of various districts were also present.

After reviewing the work of various Divisions and post offices, Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that in Varanasi Region 2.69 lakh new savings accounts, 1.52 lakh India Post Payments bank accounts, 15,000 Sukanya Samriddhi Accounts were opened in this financial year during corona period. 260 villages were covered as 'Sampoorna Sukanya Samriddhi Gram', while 55 villages as 'Sampoorna Bima Gram'.  2.63 lakh people availed Aadhaar services in post offices.  Speed post services  in Varanasi Region earned a revenue of Rs 6.54 crore, business development services Rs 2.32 crore and savings bank services earned Rs 71 crore.  A total premium of Rs 21.71 crore was deposited in Postal Life Insurance and Rs 5.37 crore in Rural Postal Life Insurance during the period.

Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that the Department of Posts is doing all the people-oriented tasks like Savings Bank, Postal Life Insurance, Sukanya Samriddhi Account, India Post Payments Bank, Post Office Passport Seva Kendra, Aadhaar Enrollment and Updation along with the letters. He directed the Divisional heads to campaign extensively in the remaining month of the financial year and focus on the achievement of the targets allocated in various services.

On this occasion, Sumit Kumar Gat, Sr. Supdt. of Post Offices, Varanasi East Dn., Ram Milan, SPOs Varanasi West Dn., PC Tiwari, SPOs Jaunpur, BK Pandey, SPOs Ghazipur, Pankaj Tripathi, SPOs Ballia, Assistant Director Shambhu Rai and Praveen Prasoon were also present. All Divisional Heads said that, by regular Interaction with the public and customers in the field and setting up camps, more and more business will be earned in various fields.

वाराणसी : डाक विभाग नित् नवाचार के साथ जहाँ अपनी सेवाओं को व्यापक बना रहा है, वहीं वैश्विक महामारी कोरोना के दौर में डाककर्मियों ने अपनी जान की परवाह न करते हुए कोरोना वॉरियर्स के रूप में महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। कोरोना महामारी के बीच डाक सेवाओं ने आवश्यक सेवाओं के रूप में नित् नए आयाम रचे। उक्त उद्गार  पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने 23 फरवरी, 2020 को वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के विभिन्न मंडलों के कार्यों की समीक्षा को लेकर आयोजित बैठक की अध्यक्षता करते हुए कही।

कैंट स्थित क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय में वाराणसी पूर्वी मण्डल के प्रवर अधीक्षक सुमीत कुमार गाट, पश्चिमी मंडल के डाक अधीक्षक राम मिलन, बलिया के डाक अधीक्षक संजय त्रिपाठी, गाजीपुर के डाक अधीक्षक बीके पांडेय व जौनपुर के डाक अधीक्षक पीसी तिवारी ने पोस्टमास्टर जनरल के समक्ष अपने मंडलों में डाक सेवाओं की प्रगति, विभिन्न योजनाओं और लक्ष्य प्राप्ति  पर विस्तृत प्रस्तुति दी। इस दौरान विभिन्न उपमंडलों के सहायक डाक अधीक्षक व उपमंडलीय निरीक्षक भी मौजूद रहे। पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने इस दौरान वित्तीय वर्ष के शेष माह में व्यापक अभियान चलाकर विभिन्न सेवाओं में आवंटित लक्ष्यों की प्राप्ति पर जोर दिया।

विभिन्न मंडलों और डाकघरों के कार्यों की समीक्षा के बाद पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के डाकघरों में वित्तीय वर्ष 2020-21 में कोरोना के बीच 2.69 लाख नए बचत खाते, 1.52 लाख इंडिया पोस्ट पेमेंट्स बैंक खाते, 15 हजार  बच्चियों के सुकन्या समृद्धि खाते खोले गए। इस दौरान 260 गाँवों को 'सम्पूर्ण सुकन्या समृद्धि ग्राम' व 55 गाँवों को 'सम्पूर्ण बीमा ग्राम' बनाया गया। 2.63 लाख लोगों ने डाकघरों में आधार सेवाओं का लाभ उठाया। वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र में स्पीड पोस्ट से 6.54 करोड़ रुपये, व्यवसाय विकास सेवाओं से 2.32 करोड़ रुपये और बचत बैंक सेवाओं से 71 करोड़ का राजस्व प्राप्त हुआ। डाक जीवन बीमा में 21.71 करोड़ व ग्रामीण डाक जीवन बीमा में 5.37 करोड़ रुपये का कुल प्रीमियम जमा हुआ।

पोस्टमास्टर जनरल  श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा कि डाक विभाग पत्रों के साथ-साथ बचत बैंक, डाक जीवन बीमा, सुकन्या समृद्धि खाता, इण्डिया पोस्ट पेमेन्ट्स बैंक, डाकघर पासपोर्ट सेवा केन्द्र, आधार नामांकन एवं अद्यतनीकरण जैसे तमाम जनोन्मुखी कार्य कर रहा है। सहायक निदेशक शम्भु राय ने कहा कि, फील्ड में आम जन एवं ग्राहकों से नियमित संवाद कर और  कैम्प लगाकर विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में ज्यादा से ज्यादा व्यवसाय अर्जित किया जायेगा। सहायक निदेशक प्रवीण प्रसून ने आभार ज्ञापन दिया।

India Post unique initiative in Varanasi, now Aadhaar card updation of prisoners in Central jail, Varanasi

Now the prisoners in jail will not have to bother to update their Aadhar cards. Aadhaar updation of prisoners is also being done by the postal department. On the instructions of Postmaster, General Krishna Kumar Yadav of Varanasi Region, the Postal Officials of Cantt Head Post Office, Varanasi, performed special camp at the Central Jail, Varanasi in Shivpur, doing the Aadhaar updation of prisoners.

For this, the Senior Superintendent of Central Jail, Varanasi had requested the Department of Posts, on the basis of which Postmaster General Krishna Kumar Yadav gave its approval. Ram Milan, Superintendent of Post Office, Varanasi West Division  said that during this period Aadhaar of 237 prisoners were updated. This helped the prisoners, while the jail administration also got the facility.

It is worth noting that ever since Krishna Kumar Yadav took over as the Postmaster General in the Varanasi Region, work has been done to popularize the postal services and connecting people with it. In this order, people are being provided facility by conducting special campaigns in every division from time to time regarding Aadhaar enrollment and updation. 132 out of a total of 136 Aadhaar kits are active in Varanasi Postal Region, which is second in the entire Uttar Pradesh Circle with 97 percent.

Assistant Director of Postal Service Shambhu Rai said that, on the initiative of Postmaster General Krishna Kumar Yadav, the enrollment and updation work of more than 71,000 people has been done from January to 13th February this year by conducting special campaign in the post offices of Varanasi Postal Region. In this, 27,000 people got new Aadhaar and over 44,000 people got Aadhaar updated

Aadhaar cards are made free in post offices

The new Aadhaar is made completely free at the post offices. The fee is charged only for updating of old Aadhaar. It has to pay ₹ 50 / - for demographic modification (name, date of birth, gender, address, mobile and email) and ₹ 100 / - for biometric modification (fingerprint, iris and photo).

पहल : डाक विभाग द्वारा अब वाराणसी सेंट्रल जेल में भी कैदियों के आधार संशोधन का किया जा रहा कार्य, कैदियों को मिली सहूलियत

अब जेल में बंद कैदियों को आधार में संशोधन के लिए परेशान नहीं होना पड़ेगा। डाक विभाग द्वारा अब जेल में भी कैदियों का आधार अपडेशन किया जा रहा है। वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव के निर्देश पर कैंट प्रधान डाकघर, वाराणसी के डाककर्मियों ने शिवपुर स्थित  केंद्रीय कारागार,  वाराणसी में विशेष कैम्प करके कैदियों के आधार अपडेशन का कार्य किया। 

इस हेतु केंद्रीय कारागार, वाराणसी के वरिष्ठ अधीक्षक ने डाक विभाग से अनुरोध किया था, जिसके आधार पर  पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने इसकी स्वीकृति दी। वाराणसी पश्चिमी मंडल के अधीक्षक डाकघर श्री राम मिलन ने बताया कि इस दौरान 237 कैदियों का आधार अपडेट किया गया। इससे जहाँ कैदियों को सहूलियत हुई, वहीं जेल प्रशासन को भी सुविधा मिली।

गौरतलब है कि वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र में जबसे श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने पोस्टमास्टर जनरल का पदभार संभाला है, तबसे डाक सेवाओं के व्यापक प्रचार-प्रसार और इससे लोगों को जोड़ने पर कार्य किया जा रहा है। इसी क्रम में आधार नामांकन व अपडेशन को लेकर हर मंडल में समय-समय पर विशेष अभियान चलाकर लोगों को सहूलियत दी जा रही है। वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र में कुल 136 आधार किट्स में से 132 सक्रिय हैं, जोकि 97 प्रतिशत के साथ पूरे उत्तर प्रदेश परिमंडल में द्वितीय स्थान पर है।

सहायक निदेशक शम्भु राय ने बताया कि, पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव की पहल पर वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के डाकघरों में विशेष अभियान चलाकर इस साल जनवरी से 13 फरवरी तक 71,000 से ज्यादा लोगों का आधार इनरोलमेंट व अपडेशन का कार्य किया जा चुका है।  इसमें 27,000 लोगों ने नया आधार बनवाया और 44,000 से ज्यादा लोगों ने आधार में संशोधन कराया।

डाकघरों में निःशुल्क बनते हैं आधार कार्ड

 डाकघरों में नया आधार पूर्णतया नि:शुल्क बनाया जाता है। सिर्फ पुराने आधार में संशोधन हेतु ही शुल्क लगता है। इसमें डेमोग्राफिक संशोधन (नाम, जन्म तिथि, लिंग, पता, मोबाइल व ईमेल) हेतु ₹50/- और बायोमेट्रिक संशोधन (फिंगरप्रिंट, आईरिस व फोटो) हेतु ₹100/- शुल्क देना होता हैI

First airmail service in the world was started on 18 February, 1911 during Maha Kumbh in Allahabad, Prayagraj

Postal services have come a long way all over the world.  Uttar Pradesh occupies a prominent position in the development of Postal services. The city of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh has the privilege that the world's first air mail service started from here.  Postmaster General of Varanasi Region  Krishna Kumar Yadav said that this historic event took place 110 years ago on 18th February 1911 in Prayagraj.  Incidentally, Kumbh Mela was also held that year.  On that day, French pilot Monsieur Henri Pequet created a new history.  He took 6500 letters from Prayagraj to Naini with him in his plane.  The aircraft was Heavy land Aircraft and launched a new round of the world's first official postal carriage.

 According to Postmaster General Krishna Kumar Yadav, about one lakh people gathered at Prayagraj to see the Postal flight that day when a special aircraft took off from the banks of river Yamuna at around 5.30 PM, crossed the river after travelling for 15 kilometres and landed near Naini Junction which was near the Central Jail on the outskirts of Prayagraj. The venue of the event was an agricultural and trade fair which was on the banks of the river and was named 'UP Exhibition'. Two flying machines were on display at this exhibition.  The aircraft was imported by some British officers.  It's parts were unassembled which were assembled at the exhibition site in the presence of common people.  The air journey from Prayagraj to Naini Junction was completed 110 years ago in just 13 minutes.

 Postmaster General Krishna Kumar Yadav said that although this flight was just six miles, there was a historic festive atmosphere in Prayagraj.  In January 1911, the British and Colonial Aeroplane Company sent one of its aircraft to India, which incidentally came to Prayagraj when the Kumbh Mela was also going on.  It was such a time when people hardly heard about aeroplane.  In such situation, it was natural to be overcrouded on this historic occasion.  In this journey, Henry created history and for the first time, he also saw the world's largest Prayag Kumbh from the sky.

According to Postmaster General Krishna Kumar Yadav, Colonel Y. Wyndham approached the postal authorities for sending some mail bags by air, to which the then Postal head gave his approval.  The mail bag had 'First Air Mail' and 'Uttar Pradesh Exhibition, Allahabad' written on it.  A picture of an aircraft was also published on it.  Magenta ink was used instead of traditional black ink.  The organizers were very concerned about its weight, which could be easily carried in the aircraft.  Restrictions were also placed on the weight of each letter and only 6,500 papers were allowed to be carried after careful calculations.  It took the aircraft 13 minutes to reach its destination.

  Krishna Kumar Yadav, who has written several articles and a book 'India Post: 150 Glorious Years' on postal services in India, said that the special duty of this first air mail service was kept at six ana and the income from this was donated to Oxford and Cambridge hostels, Allahabad.  A special arrangement was made for this service in advance.  Letters were booked for this till noon on 18 February.  The Oxford Cambridge hostel was so crowded for booking of letters that its condition had become like mini GPO.  The postal department also deployed three-four employees here.  3000 letters for air service reached the hostel within a few days.  Among the letters, a letter was having postage stamp of Rs 25. There were many famous celebrities of Prayagraj, Raja Maharaja and Rajkumar among those who sent letters.
