Department of Posts has also made all necessary arrangements for this. Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Postmaster General, Varanasi Region told that so far, more than 75 thousand Rakhis have been booked from various post offices of Varanasi Region and sent to the country and abroad.
Rakhi's craze is also very much outside the country. Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that Rakhis are being sent from Varanasi to foreign countries by speed post and registered post. Approximately 800 Rakhis were booked by various Post Offices in Varanasi Region for foreign countries. Most of these Rakhis have been sent to countries like USA, UK, Singapore, UAE, Germany, France, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Oman etc. At the same time, sisters living abroad are also sending Rakhis to their beloved brothers, which are being distributed immediately through the post offices. Sisters are preparing in advance to send Rakhi abroad, so that the Rakhi reaches the brothers at the right time and their wrists do not remain deserted.
Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav told that special arrangements have been made for booking and sorting of Rakhi mails and their speedy delivery from post offices including Railway Mail Service and National Sorting Hub. On Raksha Bandhan Festival, Rakhi mails will be delivered by the postmen, so that no brother's wrist remains deserted, said Mr. Yadav.

रेशम के धागों ने सोशल मीडिया पर चल रही वर्चुअल राखियों को बौना साबित कर दिया है। वाट्सएप, फेसबुक, स्काइप, टेलीग्राम जैसे बड़े सोशल प्लेटफॉर्म को छोडकर बहनें, भाईयों की कलाइयाँ सजाने के लिए डाक से रंग-बिरंगी राखियाँ भेजना पसंद कर रही हैं । डाक विभाग भी इसके लिए मुस्तैद है और तमाम तैयारियाँ किए हुये है। वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र से अब तक 75 हजार से ज्यादा राखियाँ विभिन्न डाकघरों से देश-विदेश में भेजी गईं। रक्षाबंधन के दिन भी डाक वितरण के विशेष प्रबंध किए गए हैं, ताकि किसी भाई की कलाई सूनी न रहे।
राखी का क्रेज देश से बाहर विदेशों में भी खूब है। पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा कि वाराणसी से विदेशों के लिए भी स्पीड पोस्ट और रजिस्टर्ड डाक द्वारा राखियाँ भेजी जा रही हैं। लगभग 800 राखियाँ वाराणसी के डाकघरों द्वारा विदेशों के लिए बुक की गईं। इनमें ज्यादातर राखियाँ संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका, ब्रिटेन, सिंगापुर, संयुक्त अरब अमीरात, जर्मनी, सऊदी अरब, फ़्रांस, न्यूजीलैंड, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, दक्षिण अफ्रीका, कनाडा, ओमान इत्यादि देशों में भेजी गई हैं। वहीं विदेशों में रह रही बहनें भी वाराणसी में अपने भाईयों को राखी भेज रही हैं, जो डाक विभाग के माध्यम से तुरंत वितरित हो रही हैं। विदेशों में राखियाँ भेजने के लिए बहनें पहले से ही तैयारी करने लगती हैं, ताकि सही समय पर भाईयों को राखी पहुँच जाये और उनकी कलाई सूनी न रहे।
पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा कि डाक विभाग ने राखी डाक की बुकिंग के साथ-साथ स्पेशल सॉर्टिंग और इनके त्वरित वितरण हेतु डाकघरों से लेकर रेलवे मेल सर्विस और नेशनल सॉर्टिंग हब तक में विशेष प्रबंध किये गए हैं। चिट्ठियों के माध्यम से खुशियां बिखेरते रहने वाले डाक विभाग ने रिश्तों के इस त्यौहार को भी एक नया आयाम दिया है।
