Raksha Bandhan festival will be celebrated on 30th & 31st August this year and for this the Postal Department has already started preparations. Postmaster General of Varanasi Region, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav, released specially made colorful designer waterproof Rakhi envelopes at Varanasi Cantt. Head Post Office. These special Rakhi envelopes will now be available for sale in the Post offices of Varanasi, Bhadohi, Chandauli, Jaunpur, Ghazipur and Ballia districts under Varanasi Region.
Postmaster General, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav told that these designer Rakhi envelopes are waterproof and strong from the point of view of security, so that even in rainy season the Rakhi sent by sisters can reach the distant brothers safely. The cost of these 11 cm X 22 cm size Rakhi envelopes is ₹ 10 only which is in addition to the postage charges. Rakhi envelope in English with the logo of India Post and Raksha Bandhan design on the upper left side of the waterproof envelope and 'Happy Rakhi' written on the lower right side. Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that being colorful and specially designed; it would save time in segregating them from other mails and would also help in getting them delivered before Raksha Bandhan festival.
इस वर्ष रक्षाबंधन पर्व 30 और 31 अगस्त को मनाया जायेगा और इसके लिए डाक विभाग ने अभी से तैयारियाँ आरंभ कर दी हैं। इसी क्रम में वाराणसी परिक्षेत्र के पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने विशेष रुप से निर्मित रंगीन डिजाइनर वाटरप्रूफ राखी लिफाफे कैंट प्रधान डाकघर में जारी किए। प्रधान डाकघरों सहित अन्य प्रमुख डाकघरों में बिक्री के लिए ये उपलब्ध होंगे।
पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने बताया कि ये डिजानइर राखी लिफाफे वाटर प्रूफ तथा सुरक्षा की दृष्टि से मजबूत हैं, जिससे बारिश के मौसम में भी बहनों द्वारा भेजी गई राखियाँ सुदूर रहने वाले भाइयों तक सुरक्षित पहुँच सकें। 11 सेमी X 22 से.मी. आकार के इन राखी लिफाफों का मूल्य ₹ 10 मात्र है जो डाक शुल्क के अतिरिक्त है। वाटरप्रूफ लिफाफे के बाएं हिस्से के ऊपरी भाग में भारतीय डाक के लोगो और रक्षाबंधन की डिजाइन के साथ अंग्रेजी में राखी लिफाफा और नीचे दाहिने तरफ 'हैप्पी राखी' लिखा गया है। पोस्टमास्टर जनरल श्री कृष्ण कुमार यादव ने कहा कि रंगीन और डिजाइनदार होने की वजह से इन्हें अन्य डाक से अलग करने में समय की बचत और रक्षाबन्धन पर्व के पूर्व वितरण कराने में भी सहूलियत होगी।
इस अवसर पर वाराणसी पश्चिमी मंडल के अधीक्षक डाकघर विनय कुमार, सहायक निदेशक बृजेश शर्मा, लेखा अधिकारी पाल्बन नस्कर, संतोषी राय, श्रीकांत पाल, राकेश कुमार, राहुल वर्मा सहित तमाम अधिकारी-कर्मचारी उपस्थित रहे।
