Closing ceremony of Hindi fortnight organized at Allahabad Head Post Office

 A programme was organized in Allahabad Head Post Office, Civil Lines on 25 Sept. 2014 to mark the closing of Hindi Pakhwara. The programme started with the felicitation of Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director Postal Services, by Mr Rahmatullah, SSPOs Allahabad Division, who also outlined the details of various programmes held during the fortnight. 


Speaking on the occasion Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director Postal Services, Allahabad Region, said that countries where the mother tongue is respected, are among the most developed countries of the world. As such the importance of Hindi may not be ignored. Emphasizing the importance of Hindi, Mr. Yadav said that the importance of Hindi is being realized as the language of change and development. Hindi is the soul of the nation. It has the power to integrate the whole nation as one. Hindi has the caliber to become a universal language. Throwing light on the progress of Hindi he said that in terms of creativity and power of expression of thought Hindi is unparallel. At present, Hindi is used not only in India but a number of other countries of the world. Hindi is being taught in more than 150 universities of the world. After Chinese language number of Hindi speaking people is the largest in the world. Today, while the popularity of Hindi is spreading rapidly on computer and internet, people from other countries are coming to India to learn Hindi. 


Mr Rahmatullah, Sr. Supdt. of Post Offices Allahabad Division said that the motive of organizing Hindi Pakhwara is not only showing concern for Hindi, but also coming out with plans and ideas for advancement and progress of Hindi. Mr. O. B. Singh, Senior Postmaster, HPO said that Hindi is a language which integrates the whole nation and its use in official work shall be promoted. 

Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director Postal Services, Allahabad felicitated the winner of various competition organized at Divisional Office Allahabad and Allahabad Head Post Office.. In Divisional office for Essay writing Ankit Kumar Tiwari, Priyam Sharma and Prem Shanker, for slogan competition Prem Shanker, Seerat Dubey and Neha Agarwal were awarded respectively with first, second and third prize.  Similarly, in Allahabad HPO; for Essay, Hindi poem, slogan and Hindi Speech competition, SB Pandey, RS Pandey, OP Pandey, Vibhu Kumar, Swati Agarwal, GP Majhi and Amar Singh were awarded. The programme was conducted by Deepak Kumar.
